00:00They announced the All-Star Game will have the ABS system in play.

00:05Nelly, I think this is a genius move by Major League Baseball.

00:08I don't even know if it's going to go well or not, but everyone likes a little freak show, you know?

00:13So why not give that an opportunity in the game?

00:16I think it's a fantastic idea just for people to see how it works in a game that means nothing, right?

00:23This should be cool.

00:24Yeah, you know, I get it.

00:26You know, they did it in spring training, and I don't think a lot of fans understood it

00:31or really saw it in spring training unless you're watching your team all the time.

00:35And even some places didn't even have the ABS system.

00:39So now the fans and the All-Star Game, I'm sure, is a big watch, and I'm sure they're going to get to see this.

00:47They have to understand it's going to be utilized next year,

00:50but it's also going to be utilized in a different way as far as a strategic way,

00:54not just, oh, I'm going to tap my helmet like they were doing in spring training in the first and second inning.

00:59I think this is going to be used probably in certain situations with runners on base, you know,

01:05to try to get out of a jam if you're a pitcher and also late in the ballgame

01:08because, remember, you only get two challenges, and once you are wrong with one, you start losing them.

01:13So it is – I guess it's okay.

01:14You know, I'm still an old-school guy and like to see the human element,

01:22and I would love this K-Zone go away on the screen,

01:26and I think you would have less problems and less people complaining about the strike zone

01:30because now with that K-Zone, they can clearly see if it was a strike or not.

01:34And we do it on the broadcast.

01:36You know, we did it last night that this guy Miller, the home plate umpire,

01:39missed a lot of calls and very questionable.

01:41And, you know, it's easy why teams want the ABS, but I think it'll be fun.

01:48I think it'll be interesting to see in the All-Star game.

01:50Yeah, I mean, I don't even love the whole ABS thing, Nelly,

01:53but I do love the idea of getting people to watch a game that means nothing.

01:57I think that's the idea that's like a fantastic one to just see if people will tune in,

02:03give Fox a little bit of a boost on the broadcast.
