Chennai (Tamil Nadu), July 10, 2025 (ANI): Malaysian politician Tan Sri Lim Kit Siang has called for India and China to join hands in building a just and inclusive new world order. Emphasizing justice, development, the rule of law, and shared prosperity, He said "I believe we are at the beginning of a new era, and India and China should cooperate to create a new world order one based on justice, development, the rule of law, and prosperity for all. Back in 1955, during the Bandung Conference, the spirit of solidarity laid the foundation for a new order. Today, we are seeing that vision take shape again. Just a few days ago in Brazil, Vietnam joined as a partner, signaling progress toward this new global structure.
00:00I think we are in a new world order and India and China should cooperate to create a new world order for justice, to bring about the development and eliminate poverty, to ensure rule of law and greater prosperity for everybody.
00:25In 1955, the Afro-Asian Solidarities Meeting in Mandung started the process whereby a new order is being created.
00:46And we have now, yes, the last few days, in New Janeiro in Brazil, Vietnam has joined as a partner.
01:00So, this is a new order. We want, in the old days, we have non-alignment.
01:13We now want to have, every country, we want to have multi-alignment.
01:18We want to be friends with everybody. We do not want to have enemies.
01:21And the process whereby Donald Trump is creating a trade war is not good for anybody.
01:32We want a new international reform where there is a multi-lateralism, where there is a multi-polarity, and where there is a multi-civilization approach.
01:48So, we should create a new global civilization.
01:54And India and China, their relationship goes back many thousands of years.
02:01There is going to be differences, border, Pakistan.
02:06But despite these differences, what is important is the world is shrinking.
02:14It is a global village, and we are going to space, we are going to technology, and we want to be Asia, Africa, Latin America must develop.
02:30And this is the era where we want to see a quintet, a quintet of five countries, India, China, Japan, Indonesia, Vietnam, have the rise of Asia.
02:50There are going to be differences.
02:52But despite these differences, there are larger issues.
02:58I was in Turchi.
03:00I went to the Rock Vaughan.
03:03I went to Bahama, Kirra.
03:09And I see the sea line, the sea line affected, and roads, highway, are being injured.
03:24So, I think it is important, climate change, environmental degradation, and the prosperity of mankind.
03:34I think India and China can cooperate in BRICS.
03:43I mean, COP33 is going to be held in the 2028.
03:53And Indian Prime Minister Modi has proposed hosting COP33 in 2028 in India.
04:03So, I think there are grounds for India and China to cooperate.
04:10And in China, there are three books which most Chinese will read.
04:16The Three Kingdoms, The Realm of the Red Chamber, and The Journey to the West.
04:25Journey to the West is India.
04:26So, if it is a new journey to the West, maybe we can ensure that the Indians and Chinese, for the sake of planet, for the sake of Earth, will grow together.
04:43And what is your appeal directly to the government, or to the senior officials?
04:48I hope the national government and the sea governments will rally together to make this approach.
05:01The Chinese are worried about Indians.
05:05They didn't worry about Chinese.
05:08So, I think for the sake of the Earth, we should cooperate.
