00:00Hello and welcome to Manchester World. My name is Theo Houstonbets and today is an incredibly
00:03exciting day because the weekend is essentially upon us and with this weekend comes the first
00:09set of Oasis reunion gigs over at Heaton Park. It feels very much as though the whole country
00:13have been waiting for this for a long, long time and it also feels as though the whole country is
00:17about to descend on Manchester in a state of mania. In fact, 320,000 people will be showing
00:23up at Heaton Park over the next two weeks to see the Gallagher Brothers. That sheer quantity means
00:28two things. One, the atmosphere at the show is going to be electric and two, the transport could
00:33be a nightmare. With that in mind, we've put together this helpful little guide to give you
00:37the best idea of when to get to Heaton Park and how. Let's start with the trams. Services are going to
00:43be running every six minutes from Manchester Victoria train station to Heaton Park, meaning
00:47there should be no difficulty at all really in terms of getting to the park itself. It's worth
00:51remembering that Boca Vale is only around a five minute walk away from the park. That's another
00:56tram stop, so it's probably best to familiarise yourself with there, particularly because it's
01:00the one you'll be using to get back into town because the Heaton Park tram stop closes at
01:049pm, so you'll not be able to get your trams back from there. It all sounds a little complex.
01:08Don't worry, staff will be on hand to help out as well. There'll be signage along the road.
01:13It'll be easy, I promise you. The last trams back this weekend into the city are at 2 past 2am
01:17and back to Bury at quarter past 1. There are also shuttle buses that'll take you straight
01:21to the show with tickets costing £10 on the B Network app. The buses are running from Lever Street
01:25in the Northern Quarter starting at 1.30pm each day, finishing at 7.30pm and then they'll
01:29be running back to the city from 10pm as well. There are obviously bike racks and there's
01:35the option to walk too, but if you were lucky enough to get tickets we hope you have an amazing
01:39time. That's all for now. Thank you very much for watching and follow Manchester World for more.
