00:00Oh, oops. I, uh, popped a lemon in there.

00:25All right, yes, we're back again. You know, it's summer, and you want some snacks.
00:33Well, I got homemade lemon ice, and we're going to start off by getting a pot of water boiling with four cups of water put in.
00:43So we'll let that water boil. You know, a watched pot never boils. So let's prepare our lemon juice.
00:52A variety of lemon ice you can make, or Italian ices. But the OG is lemon ice, and it's the most famous one.
01:00So that's what we're going to be making. We're going to be making some lemon ice. I got a nice little juicer here.
01:07So let's cut the lemon in half and juice up this lemon real fast on our little trusty juicer.
01:13And we're going to get about a cup of lemon, I believe. So let's get a cup of lemon.

01:37All right, we're going to use two lemons to get to our one cup.

02:05all right the uh water you can see it's starting to smoke that means we're getting close to being
02:24uh close to boiling and we don't want it to quite get to a boil just yet so we're going to take a
02:30cup of sugar one full cup of sugar a cup of sugar there it is here we go we got a nice little cup
02:41of sugar and pour it in now we're going to stir the sugar until it's nicely blended
02:52let this water continue to heat up
02:56now while this water heats up we're going to do something called zesting the lemon and we're
03:08going to put about two tablespoons of uh zested lemon into our little heated water as the water
03:19as the salt the sugar dissolves so let's zest up some lemon and put it into our pot

05:27when we take this off the heat we're gonna let it cool down
05:33before we add in our lemon juice and put in our freezer
05:37got our lemon juice so just let this water cool down for about another five
05:40minutes and then we'll put everything together
05:43all right we got this thing cooled down yeah you just want to get it close to
05:47like uh room temperature so let's pour in our lemon
05:51juice
05:54and stir it in stir stir stir stir stir the lemon around
06:01now we're going to add in a teaspoon of lemon extract to make it
06:07extra lemony lemony lemony lemony lemony oh there we go
06:12and stir that in as well stir it up stir it up stir stir stir it up
06:19all right that should stir it in all right let's take a nice little bowl
06:25pour everything into our little bowl
06:30bowl there it is and now we're going to take this and we're going to freeze it
06:38and uh it's going to turn into a block of ice but then
06:44we got our final step all right well we've had this in the freezer overnight
06:52and as you can tell it's frozen but not
06:56it's still a little slushy but what we're going to do is we're going to put this in
07:00into a blender and try to make it a perfect consistency for lemon ice
07:09so let's pour this bitch into the uh blender
07:14there goes that big old plastic piece
07:20let's have that one down over here like that put our bowl inside and let's get this on to a blender

07:38all right we got our blender here so let's blend this bitch up
07:47first got to plug in the blender that's important you gotta plug these things in
08:00All right, let's blend this lemon ice into a perfect consistency.

09:18So what we're going to do is we're going to put it back in the fridge
09:21and we might have to blend it again.
09:24Boy, I tell you, making lemon ice has not been easy.

09:51All right, that looks like it's come out all right.

10:12Yeah, this is closer to how we want it to look.
10:15This is basically lemon ice.

10:22Tastes pretty good.
10:27Let's stick it into the freezer and let it refreeze and hopefully it'll be the right consistency.
10:34We're going to put it back in the freezer for another hour or so and hope that it's the right consistency to actually serve.

10:49This lemon ice is going to hit the spot.
