00:30Right, good morning friends. I was very taken with Clayton's talk last week about the Bible worldview versus worldly psychology.
00:40I really want to carry on from that this week with some thoughts, particularly relating to what he was saying about Freud and Darwin rejecting the idea of creation and the implications that has upon how we view the world, ourselves, and issues relating to psychology.
00:58So, you're going to look today particularly at Genesis 1-2, chapter 3 as well, and find out what it teaches us about the relationship between God and humans, God and creation, humans and creation, humans and animals, and man and woman.
01:18Look into Genesis, you see there's a fundamental teaching that in the beginning God created the heavens and the earth, created it very good, but something has fallen, we're not as it was in the beginning,
01:30and that God sent, was going to send a redeemer who would bring us back into a relationship with God.
01:38All of this conflicts with the world's view of the origins.
01:43God created a good world, sinners come in and corrupted it, which results in a fallen world.
01:49Now, all of psychology, modern philosophies, including evolution, basically are a feature of the fallen world, attempt to try to resolve the problems of sin and the full problem with human self-help, philosophies and psychiatry, which is manifestly a failure, and actually, in my view, the reason for the disorder, which we see at all levels of society.
02:13So, we're going to look at Genesis, and we're going to work out one or two important things from Genesis, particularly from verses 26, chapter 1 onwards.
02:23So, I'll read chapter 1, and most of chapter 2, starting from the first verse.
02:32Let's just pray as we read the Word of God.
02:34Lord, we thank you for your Word, we thank you that it is truth, pray you will bless us as we read your Word, and help me to speak from it.
02:40In the name of the Lord Jesus, Amen.
02:43In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth.
02:45The earth was without form and void, and darkness was on the face of the deep.
02:50And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters.
02:54Then God said, let there be light, and there was light.
02:57And God saw the light, that it was good.
02:59And God divided the light from the darkness.
03:01God called the light day, and the darkness he called night.
03:05So evening and the morning were the first day.
03:07Then God said, let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters.
03:14Thus God made the firmament, and divided the waters which were under the firmament, from the waters which were above the firmament, and it was so.
03:22And God called the firmament heaven.
03:24So the evening and the morning were the second day.
03:26Then God said, let the waters under the heavens be gathered together in one place.
03:31Let the dry land appear.
03:32And God called the dry land earth, and the gathering together of the waters he called seas.
03:37And God saw that it was good.
03:39Then God said, let the earth bring forth grass, the herb that yields seed, and the fruit tree that yields fruit according to its kind,
03:47who seeded in itself on the earth, and it was so.

04:03So the evening and the morning were the third day.
04:06Then God said, let there be lights in the firmament of the heavens to divide the day from the night.
04:10Let there be for signs and seasons and for years, days and years.
04:15And let them be for lights in the firmament of the heavens to give light on the earth.
04:19Then God made two great lights, the greater light to rule the day and the lesser light to rule the night.
04:24He made the stars also.
04:27God set them in the firmament of the heavens to give light on the earth, and to rule over the day and over the night,
04:32and to divide the light from the darkness.
04:35And God saw that it was good.
04:36So the evening and the morning were the fourth day.
04:39Then God said, let the waters abound with an abundance of living creatures,
04:43and let the birds fly above the earth across the face of the firmament of the heavens.
04:46So God created great sea creatures and every living thing that moves,
04:51with which the waters abounded according to their kind,
04:53and every winged creature according to its kind.
04:56And God saw that it was good.
04:58And God blessed them, saying, be fruitful and multiply, fill the waters and the seas,

06:35And we'll take it up in chapter 2, verse 15.
06:41Then the Lord God took man and put him in the garden of Eden
06:43to tend and keep it.
06:45And the Lord God commanded the man,
06:47saying, of every tree of the garden you may freely eat,
06:50but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat.
06:53For in the day that you eat of it,
06:54you shall surely die.
06:56And the Lord God said,
06:57It is not good that man should be alone.
06:59I will make him a helper comparable to him.
07:03Out of the ground the Lord God formed every beast of the field
07:06and every bird of the air,
07:07and brought them to Adam to see what he would call them.
07:10Whatever Adam called each living creature,
07:12that was its name.
07:15So Adam gave names to all the cattle,
07:16to the birds of the air,
07:18to every beast of the field.
07:19But for Adam there was not found a helper comparable to him.
07:22And the Lord God caused a deep sleep to fall on Adam,
07:26and he slept, and he took one of his ribs
07:27and closed up the flesh in its place.
07:30Then the rib which the Lord God had taken from man
07:32he made into a woman,
07:34and he brought her to the man.
07:36And Adam said,
07:37Now this is bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh.
07:40She shall be called woman,
07:41because she was taken out of man.
07:44Therefore a man shall leave his father and mother
07:46and be joined to his wife.
07:47They shall become one flesh.
07:49And they were both naked, the man and his wife,
07:52and were not ashamed.
07:55So the account of creation.
07:57Two accounts, one in chapter 1,
07:59and second in chapter 2,
08:01specifically speaking about the relationship
08:03between man and woman.
08:06The implication of this is that the heavens and the earth,
08:09everything that exists,
08:10exists as a result of God's act of creation.
08:14God spoke his word, it came into being.
08:17And also the pre-fall creation was very good,
08:20without any defects.
08:22He was blessed and sanctified by God,
08:24and exists solely by the will and the grace of God.
08:28It shows evidence of his design, his order,
08:31and his almighty power.
08:33Obviously we live in a world which totally opposes this view.
08:37We have the view of evolution,
08:39which says that in the beginning there was nothing,
08:40that nothing exploded.
08:41Out of the explosion of nothing,
08:43the universe and all the world came into being.
08:45Out of inanimate beings,
08:48life in all its complexity came into being,
08:51able to reproduce itself,
08:52and we have the world as it is today.
08:55Those are two different world views of how we come to be here.
08:57I don't believe the evolution of view.
09:01I do believe the creationist view.
09:03I don't believe also that you can unite the creationist and the evolution of view.
09:07They're opposites.
09:08They don't agree.
09:09I'm not going to go into details.
09:11I've got loads of videos here.
09:12If you have any problems about that,
09:13which give you some answers to questions about creation and evolution.
09:17But I'm actually assuming from this point of view
09:19that the creation account is the true one
09:21because it's the one which God has given to us.
09:25And it makes sense of the world today as we find it,
09:28which obviously is far from very good.
09:33And it also makes sense of the fact that we need redemption through the Messiah
09:36who gives the only hope for humanity in its lost condition.
09:40Now let's have a look at some of the implications of what we've read,
09:45particularly from verses 26 of chapter 1 onwards to the end of chapter 1.
09:53In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth.
09:55So in the beginning, God made everything.
09:56He made all the animals.
09:57He made the earth, the sea, and everything in it.
09:59And finally, he made human beings as the pinnacle of his creation.
10:04And verses 26 onwards show that God has a specific role for humans
10:10that is distinct from animals.
10:13Humans are made in the image of God.
10:16Humans are made to have dominion over the creative world.
10:21And humans are created male and female.
10:23Now animals are also male and female,
10:25but the other two are specific to humans.
10:27And if you look at the diagram which I show in this picture here,
10:33we have a diagram which shows human beings
10:38created as having soul, body, soul, and spirit.
10:44Body is obviously what we have, the outer body.
10:47The soul speaks of our personality, our mind, our will, our emotions,
10:52the things that make you you.
10:53And the spirit is a part which is meant to be indwelt by God.
10:58Now when you look at humans and animals,
11:01animals obviously have body.
11:06Do they have soul?
11:08Well, you could say some of the higher animals,
11:10you can see, have personality.
11:12We have a cat.
11:13You can tell you when it's happy and when it's not happy.
11:15And there are certain things which show some kind of elements
11:18of personality in some of the higher animals.
11:21But none of them have spirit.
11:23No matter of fact that when we sing choruses,
11:26Barbara sometimes likes to wave the cat's paws around
11:28to say it's praising the Lord.
11:29It actually doesn't have any instinct to worship God or to praise God.
11:34Nor do any animals.
11:36We can see that.
11:37They may function in a natural way.
11:40Could say also that animals don't have the same capacity
11:42to do evil as humans do.
11:44Animals kill is either to defend their young or to get food
11:48or to defend their territory.
11:50But they don't kill just for the sake of killing.
11:52They don't build up concentration camps to put fellow animals into.
11:56Only humans do such unspeakably evil things.
11:59There's a distinction between humans and animals.
12:02And the problem which humans have is that if that spirit part of us
12:05is not indwelt by God, then the other parts are in disorder.
12:09So you have disorder in the area of the will, of the intellect, of the emotions.
12:17And also, as a result of God being absent,
12:20death comes into the body and we end up dying.
12:24So we have a problem.
12:26And the Bible tells us that there is a distinction between humans and animals.
12:31If you look in the book of Ecclesiastes, it's an interesting verse.
12:34It says, Ecclesiastes 3, verse 21,
12:37Who knows the spirit of the sons of men, which goes upward,
12:39and the spirit of animal, which goes down to the earth?
12:43In other words, there's something different between the animals and the humans.
12:46We have a spirit which goes back to God.
12:48Animals have no spirit.
12:50And when they die, they just go back to the earth.
12:52Ecclesiastes 12 tells us that the dust will return to the earth as it was,
12:58and the spirit will return to God who gave it.
13:01In other words, at the moment of death,
13:03our bodies will return to the earth, just like the animals,
13:07but there's a spirit part of us which is going to return to God.
13:11And this shows that there's something different between animals and humans.
13:15Now, before the fall, the spirit part of humans was in tune with God.
13:20After the fall, it's not.
13:22After the fall, we are now dead in trespasses and sins,
13:25according to Ephesians chapter 2.
13:29Through Jesus, we can be born again to new life
13:31as the spirit part of us comes alive to God.
13:35And as the spirit part of us comes alive,
13:37it will affect our soul, our body, and all the other parts of us.
13:42And Jesus said in John chapter 3,
13:45I say to you, unless one is born of water and the spirit,
13:48he cannot enter the kingdom of God.
13:50That which is born of the flesh is flesh,
13:52that which is born of the spirit is spirit.
13:54Do not marvel that I said to you, you must be born again.
13:57Why must you be born again?
13:58Because the spirit part of you,
14:00as a result of the fall in the natural body, is dead.
14:04It has to come alive by repenting and believing the gospel,
14:07believing in Jesus,
14:08and receiving the Holy Spirit to give us new life.
14:11That's why Jesus said you must be born again.
14:15And we also see that because the original creation didn't include death,
14:20since the fall, death has come into the world.
14:23Therefore, after death,
14:26the spiritual part of us is going to go down to the earth,
14:29and the spiritual part of us is going to return to God who gave it.
14:31That's going to happen to everybody.
14:35Now, the difference is whether you are prepared to meet with God
14:38or you're not prepared to meet with God.
14:39If you're not,
14:41then you're going to be eternally separated from God in the eternal realm,
14:44which is not a good state to be in.
14:46If you're ready to meet with God,
14:48by accepting Jesus as Savior,
14:50you're ready to be accepted by God into the eternal realm,
14:54which is to fellowship with him for eternity.
14:58So we have this issue, which is there.
15:01And, of course, as believers,
15:06we believe that Jesus came to take the punishment for our sins
15:08so that the sin principle that separates us from God
15:11can be removed and we're restored to the image of God,
15:14part of us that was there in the original creation.
15:18So we're made in the image of God,
15:20but in the present time we're fallen from that,
15:23and we need to be redeemed through Jesus the Messiah.
15:27Now, worldly psychology, of course, rejects all of this,
15:29and therefore it has no answer to the sin problem.
15:34And, in fact, you're living most of your life in the body and in the soul's area.
15:37In fact, you're living all of your life in the body and the soul area,
15:39and the spirit part of you remains dead,
15:41and so there's disorder in both of those areas.
15:45That's why Jesus said you must be born again.
15:49Now, the second proposition which we had in the Genesis passage
15:52was that humans would have dominion over the created world.
15:58Go back to Genesis 1, verse 26.
16:00It says,
16:00Then the Lord God said,
16:01Let us make man in our image according to our likeness.
16:04Let them have dominion over the fish of the sea,
16:06over the birds of the air,
16:07over the cattle,
16:08over all the earth,
16:09and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.
16:12So God created man in his own image.
16:14In the image of God he created him.
16:16Male and female he created them.
16:18Then God blessed them,
16:19and God said,
16:19Be fruitful and multiply.
16:21Fill the earth and subdue it.
16:23Have dominion over the fish of the sea,
16:25over the birds of the air,
16:26over every living thing that moves on the earth.
16:28That's the original plan.
16:33I have to say that we don't have dominion in this sense now,
16:36because that's one of the results of the fall,
16:37was that we lost that dominion.
16:39But the plan which God had in the beginning
16:41was that humans should act as a kind of regents under God
16:45to take care of the world which he had created.
16:49So there'd be God in heaven,
16:50there'd be humans on the earth,
16:51God would be communicating with the humans on the earth,
16:53and the humans on the earth would be looking after
16:55this wonderful creation which God had made.
16:57A very good creation,
16:59and all the creatures which are in it.
17:01Having dominion didn't mean he'd plunder them
17:02and exercise power and evil in a way on,
17:06but he'd exercise power in a good way,
17:08to care for them and to tend for them.
17:10And you see that in Genesis 2 verse 15,
17:12when it says,
17:12The Lord God took the man,
17:14put him in the garden of Eden,
17:15to tend and to keep it.
17:17That was his purpose.
17:18That was the original purpose of God.
17:20If we'd remained in fellowship with God,
17:22then none of all this bad stuff which has happened
17:24would have taken place.
17:25The earth would have been a wonderful place to be
17:27for humans, for animals,
17:29and for everything that was created.
17:30Because God would be in control,
17:32and humans, as regents under God,
17:33would be looking after it.
17:37Now in order to do this, of course,
17:38humans have to keep the spirit part of us
17:40in a right relationship with God.
17:45To live in harmony with their creator,
17:46and with creation.
17:47And we know that there was a problem which came in.
17:54One condition they must keep
17:55in order to keep this.
17:58Genesis 2 verse 16.
18:01Then the Lord God took the man
18:02and put him in the garden of Eden,
18:03to tend and keep it.
18:04And the Lord commanded the man,
18:06saying,
18:06Of every tree of the garden you may freely eat,
18:09but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil
18:10you should not eat.
18:12For in the day that you eat of it,
18:13you shall surely die.
18:14Okay, so there's just one condition,
18:18one command you've got to keep.
18:21God says,
18:21I'm putting into the garden a tree
18:23which is called the tree of the knowledge
18:24of good and evil.
18:26Now we don't know whether it had
18:27an apple tree on it,
18:28but it's probably not.
18:29It just says,
18:30The fruit of the tree of the knowledge
18:31of good and evil.
18:35So what is the tree of the knowledge
18:37of good and evil?
18:39Think about it.
18:40Before the fall,
18:41all that man and the woman knew
18:42was the knowledge of good.
18:44Knowledge of God.
18:46God's good creation.
18:48God's good presence in their lives.
18:50The ability to communicate with God.
18:54But post-fall,
18:55that was all gone.
18:57They hid from God.
18:58They were separate from him.
19:00As they disobeyed God,
19:01yet from the fruit of the tree
19:02of the knowledge of good and evil,
19:04Genesis 3 verse 8,
19:05it says,
19:05They heard the voice,
19:07the sound of the Lord God
19:08walking in the garden
19:09in the cool of the day,
19:10and Adam and his wife hid themselves
19:12from the presence of the Lord God
19:13among the trees of the garden.
19:16That tells you, actually,
19:17that they were used to seeing
19:18the presence of God.
19:19Somehow they had a communication
19:22with God before this time.
19:24Now, as they see God coming,
19:25they have an instinct to hide from him.
19:27Why?
19:28Because they know
19:28they've disobeyed his command.
19:30They know they're no longer
19:31in the relationship
19:32which God made for them
19:33to have in the beginning.
19:34And as a result of this,
19:39evil enters in.
19:42Now, this also implies
19:44that evil existed
19:46before the creation.
19:49So something had happened
19:50in God's scheme of things
19:52which had caused
19:53an evil principle
19:54to enter into
19:55what existed.
19:59If you go to the book of Isaiah,
20:01chapter 7,
20:01chapter 14, sorry,
20:02it tells you about
20:04an angel,
20:06it's called Heichal
20:07in the Hebrew,
20:09often translated Lucifer,
20:11who became lifted up
20:12with pride
20:12and wanted to be worshipped
20:13instead of God
20:14and wanted to take
20:15the place of God
20:16and God then
20:17threw him out of heaven
20:18and he went from being
20:20Lucifer, the light bearer,
20:21to Satan,
20:22the adversary.
20:24Evil came into
20:26the created order.
20:30And as a result of this,
20:31God
20:33had an enemy
20:35and he acknowledges this
20:37by putting the tree
20:38of the knowledge
20:39of good and evil
20:39into the garden
20:40and they've got a choice
20:41to make.
20:44And when the choice comes,
20:45the enemy comes in
20:46in the form of the serpent
20:47and tempts Adam and Eve.
20:49Eve takes the fruit
20:51of the knowledge
20:51of the tree of good and evil,
20:53gives it to Adam
20:54and he takes it as well
20:55and they enter
20:56into a fallen state
20:58in which they're
20:59separated from God.
21:00They don't keep
21:02God's command
21:03and their paradise
21:04is lost.
21:07Genesis 3 tells us
21:08how the devil comes
21:08in the form of the serpent.
21:10He tempts Eve
21:10to take the fruit
21:11of the tree
21:12of the knowledge
21:12of good and evil.
21:14She persuades Adam
21:14to do so.
21:15As a result,
21:16the whole relationship
21:17between God,
21:18humanity,
21:18and creation changes.
21:20No longer does he
21:21have dominion,
21:22but now he's subject
21:23to sin,
21:24corruption,
21:25and to death.
21:25Genesis 3
21:28and verse 15,
21:30the Lord says,
21:30verse 17,
21:32sorry,
21:32the Lord said to Adam,
21:34because you've heeded
21:34the voice of your wife
21:35and have eaten
21:36from the tree
21:37of which I commanded you,
21:38saying you shall not
21:39eat of it,
21:40cursed is the ground
21:40for your sake.
21:42In toil you shall eat
21:43of it all the days
21:43of your life,
21:44both thorns and thistles
21:45it shall bring forth
21:46for you.
21:47You shall eat the herb
21:48of the field,
21:49in the sweat of your face
21:50you shall eat bread
21:51till you return
21:52to the ground,
21:53for out of it
21:53you are taken,
21:54for dust you are,
21:55and to dust
21:56you shall return.
21:59Does that sound
22:00like he's in dominion?
22:01No, he's lost it.
22:04Now he's subject
22:05to dominion
22:06of hard labour,
22:09a corrupted creation.
22:12It's no longer very good.
22:13It's bringing forth
22:13thorns and thistles.
22:15Work is hard.
22:16The one's going to suffer
22:17in childbirth.
22:18All of these things
22:19have come in
22:19which have spoiled
22:20now God's perfect creation.
22:22and sadly
22:24he's actually handed
22:25over dominion
22:26to the devil
22:27and Jesus calls
22:29Satan the God
22:30of this world.
22:32He's now subject
22:33to death,
22:34to a fallen creation,
22:36to thorns and thistles
22:37and to labour
22:38which is hard.
22:40Now most of the world
22:41would like to relegate
22:42all that to myth.
22:44A lot of the church
22:44would like to relegate
22:45all that to myth.
22:46But if you do relegate
22:47all that to myth
22:48you have a real problem
22:49with the rest of the Bible
22:50because the rest of the Bible
22:52is actually undoing
22:52this problem.
22:54That's what it's all about.
22:55That's why God sent Jesus
22:56into the world.
22:58And this promise
22:58is even there
22:59in Genesis chapter 3
23:01verse 15
23:02where God speaks
23:03to the serpent
23:04who is Satan
23:05and he says
23:07so the Lord God
23:07said to the serpent
23:09because you've done this
23:10you are cursed
23:11more than all cattle
23:12more than every beast
23:13of the field
23:14on your belly
23:14you should go
23:15and you should eat dust
23:16all the days of your life
23:17or put enmity
23:18between you and the woman
23:19between your seed
23:20and her seed
23:21he shall bruise your head
23:23and you shall bruise his heel.
23:26Here's a promise
23:27which speaks about
23:27the seed of the woman.
23:30Seed of the woman
23:30means the one
23:31who's going to be born
23:31of the woman
23:32and it's the woman
23:34it's not just any woman
23:35speaking about
23:35a particular woman
23:36who's going to come
23:37and bring forth
23:38this seed
23:38who will crush
23:40the head of the serpent
23:41and will have his heel
23:43bruised
23:44in the process.
23:46If you have your heel bruised
23:47it's a non-fatal wound
23:48you can recover from it.
23:50If you have your head crushed
23:51it's a fatal wound
23:52and you won't recover from it.
23:55All of this of course
23:56was fulfilled
23:57in the Lord Jesus.
23:58The cross he was bruised
23:59for our iniquities
24:00it says in Isaiah chapter 53
24:01he suffered a non-fatal wound
24:04he was put to death
24:05but because he was God
24:06he rose from the dead.
24:08The serpent suffered
24:09a fatal wound
24:10bruised his head.
24:13Though he continues
24:13it would lead to
24:14his ultimate downfall
24:15and his eternal defeat
24:17in hell
24:18in the final judgment
24:19at the end of the age.
24:21So once Jesus died
24:22and rose from the dead
24:22Satan's power
24:25was broken
24:25in one sense
24:26over humanity
24:27so that those who repent
24:29and believe in the gospel
24:30can come out
24:31from under the power of Satan
24:32into the power of God

24:34in Jesus the Messiah.
24:37When Jesus comes again
24:38he's going to bring
24:39a final end
24:40to Satan's rule
24:40and take up
24:42the reins of power himself.
24:43In the meantime
24:44he still has his business
24:45to do
24:46and we have our business
24:47to resist him.
24:49But God has now
24:50opened up the process
24:51of redemption
24:51and his promise
24:53in Genesis
24:53is fulfilled
24:54in Jesus the Messiah
24:55lead up to the first
24:57and the second coming
24:58of Jesus the Messiah
24:59at his return.
25:03But the message
25:05of Genesis 3
25:05also is that
25:06as a result
25:07of disobedience
25:08the spirit part
25:09of humans dies
25:10will be restored
25:12through repentance
25:13and faith.
25:14In the Old Testament
25:15it says that men
25:16called on the name
25:16of the Lord
25:17and as they called
25:17on the name
25:18of the Lord
25:18they restored
25:19some kind of
25:19relationship with God.
25:21In the New Testament
25:22we have the opportunity
25:23to come closer
25:24to the Lord
25:25through being born again
25:26of the Holy Spirit
25:26receiving salvation
25:28through Jesus the Messiah.
25:30But as a result
25:31of this disobedience
25:32we've actually lost
25:34dominion.
25:35We don't have dominion
25:36over the earth now.
25:38We can't tell the animals
25:39what to do.
25:41And we don't have
25:42dominion at the present
25:43time over the powers
25:45of darkness
25:45which are ruling
25:46over this present
25:47world darkness
25:47which are leading
25:48actually to the final
25:49time which the Bible
25:52says will be when
25:52the earth itself
25:54will become so defiled
25:55that it will face
25:56the end of
25:58this era
25:59and the second coming
26:00of Jesus.

26:02in Isaiah chapter 24
26:03which speaks about
26:04the reversal
26:05if you like
26:06of the dominion mandate.

26:23transgressed the laws
26:24changed the ordinance
26:24broken the everlasting

26:27has devoured the earth

26:46under the pollutions

26:48and the reason for this

26:55with God has been broken
26:56therefore that time
26:58of dominion
26:59is over
27:00not permanently
27:01but is over
27:02at the present time
27:03and now the world
27:04is actually under
27:05the power
27:05of the evil one
27:06who is bringing forth
27:08all the troubles
27:08which we see
27:09in the world today
27:09and we see human sin
27:14polluting the environment
27:16we see all kinds
27:17of inventions
27:18like war weapons
27:21weapons of mass destruction
27:23all kinds of things
27:24which are actually
27:25destroying the earth
27:26and showing that
27:27we're out of relationship
27:28with God
27:28and we're doing
27:29the opposite
27:29of what God
27:30intended us
27:31in the first place
27:31to look after
27:32and care for his creation
27:33now the Bible
27:35says there's going to come
27:36a promise of deliverance
27:37and a new world
27:38in which Jesus will return
27:40but it says in fact
27:42actually that Jesus
27:42will return
27:43and he will rule the world
27:44for a thousand years
27:45according to the
27:46premillennial view
27:46which I hold
27:47says that the kingdoms
27:49of this world
27:50will become the kingdom
27:50of our God
27:51and of his Christ
27:52his Messiah
27:52and he shall reign
27:53forever and ever
27:54we're going to take
27:56the power away from Satan
27:57and give it back
27:57to the Lord
27:58and then Jesus
27:59is going to reign in person
28:00and he's going to put
28:01the world to rights
28:02as it should be
28:02and even it says
28:04in Isaiah
28:05that the animal kingdom
28:05is going to be
28:06in a right relationship
28:07with God
28:08and with each other
28:09and no longer be
28:10devouring each other
28:11but be vegetarian
28:12and even the little child
28:14will play over the snake
28:15snake's hole
28:16so there'll be a change
28:17in the whole creation
28:18when Jesus returns
28:19restoring back
28:21to the pre-fall
28:23situation
28:24if you like
28:24and so we have
28:27the promise
28:29of the future
28:30that there will be
28:31a return to dominion
28:33through Jesus
28:34the Messiah
28:34only when Jesus returns
28:36will we have that dominion
28:37restored to us
28:39until that time

28:40the power of the evil one
28:41who we've allowed
28:42by our sin
28:43and our disobedience
28:44to God
28:44to come into the world

28:47is in such a corrupted state

28:54looking forward to
28:55male and female
28:55so God created man
