00:00The Mets have Clay Holmes making two starts.
00:02He'll start at Baltimore and at Kansas City.
00:05And everyone's like, well, wait a second.
00:07This is not that bad.
00:08Well, we haven't gotten to the other names yet.
00:09But I think that this is one, George, that he's probably not going to be available in most leagues.
00:15So you're probably going to have to start him regardless.
00:17Yeah, I think he's starting to go.
00:18You're getting a little bonus here.
00:20He was supposed to have two starts this week.
00:22But the rain out on Tuesday forced the Mets to play with doubleheaders.
00:25So he doesn't start Sunday against the Yankees.
00:27He'll start for the Mets here.
00:29The only negative here is that they're babying him.
00:32You know, they're worried about the innings with Clayton Holmes.
00:34Remember, he only pitched, what, 70 last year with the Yankees.
00:36He's already passed that with the Mets here.
00:38So he's generally five and fly here.
00:40So it's the only thing you're worried about there.
00:41But even so, he starts with my fantasy team.
00:44All right, Jose Soriano of the Angels playing some pretty good baseball.
00:48Surprising a lot of people this season.
00:49Soriano faces off in two tough environments here, both at home against Texas and Arizona.
00:57Oof, I mean, both those teams need some wins here.
01:00What do you think about Soriano?
01:02I mean, you sort of get one good start, one bad start, right?
01:05Arizona can be a problem.
01:06We know they can hit Texas.
01:07Not so much, all right?
01:08They've been a offensive doldrums all season long here.
01:11That being said, seen any breaking out of it a little bit here.
01:14Maybe, maybe Marcus Semien's found out, figured out how to hit now.
01:18Corey Seager's playing well.
01:20Those two are really carrying the team.
01:22I'm going to start him.
01:23Like I said, I'll take the chance here.
01:25I may not love it, but he's a two-start week.
01:27Also, he'll be better than one of them.
01:29He'll have to be better than one of my one starters.
01:31So I kind of like it for Jose Soriano.
01:33He's up and down.
01:34And that's why he's available, right?
01:36Because he is up and down.
01:37He's not consistent there.
01:38But I kind of like these two starts, especially the one against Texas.
01:41Jeffrey Springs, mixed bag for the A's this season.
01:45Most people feel, George, he'll be traded come trade deadline time.
01:49Faces off with Atlanta and Toronto this week.
01:53Both games are at home.
01:54And knowing how you have talked about this environment all season,
01:58I'm going to guess this is a pass.
02:00I mean, I'm going to try and play the reason why.
02:04Okay, Atlanta is having a lot of trouble hitting, right?
02:06Only got to score two runs again last night against Charlie Morton.
02:09I mean, no, all right, no.
02:12The first thing you said when he says,
02:14I'm like, all right, where are they pitching?
02:15Is that home?
02:16No, you're not starting.
02:17Toronto is as hot as Hades right now.
02:19And it's in Sacramento?
02:21No, no, no, just no.
02:24Brady Singer of the Cincinnati Reds.
02:27On paper, you would think, George,
02:28that these are some decent matchups here against the Marlins on Monday
02:31and then the Rockies on Saturday.
02:33But Singer himself has not been a fantastic option all season long.
02:38I mean, look, I guess if you're looking at less than 50% owned pitchers
02:42in 12-team leagues, is this a shot that you would take?
02:46Well, that's the question.
02:47What do I like to say when we have this segment each week?
02:49If you have Singer on your roster, all right,
02:52and you're not starting him against Miami and Colorado,
02:54I know Miami's played very well.
02:57And Colorado actually has played better of late also, by the way.
03:00But if you're not starting him this week,
03:02then why is he on your roster?
03:04Okay, it just comes down to that.
03:07I mean, you start so many pitches.
03:08It's a two-start week here.
03:09Everything you said is true.
03:10I mean, he's at a 4.36 ERA.
03:13His whip is 1.34.
03:15He is striking out about a batter in an inning here,
03:17so you get some Ks there.
03:19Yeah, he starts for me.
03:20I don't love it.
03:21He hasn't pitched all that well.
03:23And once again, he's playing the great American small park.
03:26So he could get beat up a little bit here.
03:27But if I don't start him this week, then I'm cutting him.
03:31Chicago White Sox hearts endorse two-start pitchers here.
03:34Aaron Savali got his wish and was moved to Chicago.
03:38But thus far, George just won a measly win on the season.
03:43I mean, this calls for desperation here.
03:45This is like the last bottle of alcohol in the house.
03:48Nothing left.
03:49Merchant in the back of the fridge.
03:51Toronto and Cleveland.
03:53Cleveland, not horrendous, I guess.
03:56But, oof, you've got to be really scraping the bottom here.
03:59All right.
04:00Cleveland's not hitting.
04:01All right.
04:02They're not.
04:03Once again, if it was in Cleveland, I would feel a lot better here.
04:05But Toronto's been mashing the ball here.
04:07They just beat the snot out of the Yankees there.
04:11No, I can't endorse this.
04:12Even with that Cleveland start, I just can't endorse it.
04:15I mean, I don't know if they're going to beat Cleveland.
04:16I don't know if they're going to get any wins.
04:17The team can't hit.
04:18So you can lose those games anyway.
04:20Where's your upside here?
04:21I don't really see it.
04:22So no on Cervalli.
04:24And like I said, he's the guy who's on my roster.
04:26I would cut.
04:27When he's back in Milwaukee, maybe you forgot about him.
04:29Time to move on.
