00:11one of the unspoken casualties of the covid lockdowns was hospitality sharing the simple
00:18pleasure of eating and drinking with others face to face offering friendship and building community
00:25down through the centuries welcoming hospitality has been common to nearly all cultures and many
00:34of jesus encounters and stories took place around hospitality food good wine invigorating
00:42conversations and unhurried meals fantastic cynically it's been said hospitality is the
00:50art of making people feel at home when you wish they were at home yes it can feel inconvenience
00:56at times but it enriches us and others it builds community and brings color and joy to our
01:04neighborhoods we're given a snapshot of how christians lived in early church communities
