00:00Warm, humid nights and hot, sticky days. That's the forecast for this weekend for some parts of the UK.
00:08Not everywhere we'll see the temperatures and the humidity building, but certainly across eastern England,
00:13that's where we'll see the highest temperatures. Further north and west, outbreaks of rain lingering through Friday evening
00:19and overnight will keep rain and drizzle, mostly over coasts and hills in the west.
00:24North-west Scotland, though, should start to turn a little drier, staying pretty gusty here.
00:28If anything, the wind's picking up a little through the night and into Saturday.
00:31Elsewhere, a fairly brisk breeze blowing in the warm and humid air,
00:36keeping those temperatures up at 16 or 17 degrees Celsius in towns and cities, so it won't be a cold start.
00:42It will be quite a glum start. A lot of cloud around, misty, murky conditions around coasts in the west.
00:48They may struggle to clear. Rain and drizzle should be clearing away, though,
00:51from eastern parts of Northern Ireland and the central belt of Scotland.
00:55Much brighter day in north-west Scotland. Just a few showers chugging through here on a fairly gusty wind.
01:01We will keep some outbreaks of rain going across north-west England, particularly Cumbria,
01:05maybe a little for north Wales. Manchester, Liverpool, probably in the rain shadow here,
01:10so generally dry. And in fact, most of England and Wales having a dry, fine day.
01:14Now, it should turn sunnier through the day over east Wales, the Midlands, eastern England.
01:19Just the possibility that these coasts in the south-west stay a little bit glum and a little bit cloudy.
01:25It will be quite a warm and humid feel. The wind's not as strong as today across the south,
01:29and temperatures a little higher. So, 27, 28, maybe 29, 30 in and around the London area.
01:36Not as hot further north. Pretty pleasant, actually, because we won't have the humidity in eastern Scotland,
01:4122 or 23 degrees Celsius here, say, in the sunshine. That shouldn't feel too bad.
01:47Gusty winds across the far north-west. They'll continue into Saturday night.
01:51So will this zone of cloudier weather affecting north Wales, north-west England,
01:56particularly over Cumbria, northern parts of Lancashire.
01:59Dull and damp here through the night. Misty, murky conditions again returning to many western areas.
02:05Again, a really warm night in the south, but quite a big contrast as we head into Sunday morning,
02:11with temperatures in the south, again, holding up in the high teens further north.
02:15A fresher feel where we see some clearer skies, and those winds actually starting to ease across Scotland.
02:20So, decent day in Scotland on Sunday. Hazy sunshine, bright conditions here.
02:25Still fairly glum over parts of north Lancashire and Cumbria.
02:29Some of that rain could trickle back into south-west Scotland,
02:32and certainly looking a bit dull, and with some drizzly rain at times in parts of Northern Ireland during Sunday.
02:38But again, for a good chunk of England and Wales, it may start cloudy,
02:41but it should turn sunnier over the central and eastern parts.
02:44That's where we'll see the top temperatures.
02:4728, 29, 30. Great chance of maybe even getting up to 31 Celsius.
02:51Coasts will be a little cooler, but still pretty warm and humid, I suspect, in Wales and south-west England,
02:56even where it stays quite misty and murky around some coasts.
02:59But most places we'll see quite a bit of sunshine and more sunshine again on Monday.
03:05And those temperatures starting to lift even further.
03:08The warmer air by this stage extending further north into parts of Scotland.
03:12And look at the numbers for Monday.
03:14Widely, of course, the Midlands and eastern England over 30 Celsius, 33, 34.
03:20Chance we could even get to 35 degrees Celsius.
03:22Something we're keeping a very close eye on as we go through this weekend.
03:26You need to keep up to date with the forecast.
03:28Don't forget this weekend as well, UV levels will be high.
03:31You'll need the sunscreen.
03:32Grass pollen levels also quite high.
