Mahershala Ali chats with THR at the 'Jurassic World Rebirth' carpet and gives insight into the filming process of the movie. Plus, he shares the status of 'Blade' saying, "I'm just taking it a day at a time."

00:00So what was the best part of being part of the Jurassic world?

00:03Oh my God.

00:05You know what?

00:06Honestly, and I'm not...

00:08It was...

00:10The best part was seeing it.

00:13It wasn't necessarily...

00:15These type of films are so hard to shoot because of the way in which they're shot.

00:18Like you could do one scene in three countries over four months.

00:22So I wouldn't necessarily say as a performer, as an actor, that that's necessarily enjoyable.

00:27Because it's just... It's difficult. It's hard to make sense of.

00:31So I think if anything, you have to operate with a certain degree of trust that this is all going to fit together well.

00:37And so I guess the best part of it is actually completing it and getting to see what Garrett was able to edit and put together.

00:45And he just did a wonderful job in post.

00:48And I know you were just asked about this, but what's the sort of status of Blade?

00:53Are you hopeful it's still going to happen?

00:54You know, I'm just taking it a day at a time.

00:59I'm doing the best work I can.

01:01I just did a movie called Your Mother, Your Mother, Your Mother that I'm very excited about.

01:05That I got to scratch my stunt itch.

01:08You know, got to do some sword work and that.

01:11And it's a wonderful story.

01:13I would love for Blade to happen.

01:15We'll see.

01:15I don't know where Marvel is at right now.
