00:00This shooting happened on a very busy street here in Auburn.
00:05It's right near the train station here.
00:07People that we've spoken to said they heard people running and screaming and gunshots earlier.
00:12Police were called to the area around 1.15, near a popular kebab shop here in the street,
00:17after reports of gunshots and a public place shooting.
00:21Now, paramedics were on the scene treating three people for gunshot wounds.
00:25We now know that one woman and two men were taken to hospital for gunshot wounds in serious condition.
00:32A 26-year-old man was shot in the arm and police say that he had two previous attempts on his life
00:40and just an hour before the shooting reported to police for bail.
00:45There was also an unknown man who was shot in the face and a 50-year-old woman who was caught up in the shooting.
00:51We heard from the police minister, Yasmin Catley, a short time ago. Here's what she had to say.

01:01All she did was go to work. Look, I have to say it's one thing for criminals to be shooting each other.
01:07But when innocent people get caught up in this, it is absolutely abhorrent and we will not tolerate it.
01:13Police are still looking for those who are responsible. They're still in the early stages of the investigation.
01:19We heard from police, they say that the gunmen walked into the store, fired eight shots
01:24and then attempted to get into the back of an office at the back of that building without success before both driving off.
01:31Now, Strike Force Falcon has also been deployed as part of this investigation.
01:36It's a strike force that was set up in the bid to put pressure on some of these feuding organised crime networks.
01:43We're still waiting for answers on who is responsible for this shooting and to hear about those conditions of the people in hospital.
