00:05And they have just recently, what they docked back in America for their Across Troubled Seas tour.

00:18The tour was so amazing.
00:20We definitely were not totally depressed when we came back.
00:25You didn't die of your hair black for two weeks or something like that.
00:27Totally not.
00:28Yeah, totally just totally fine.

00:32Well, what are some of the highlights of the tour?
00:34Obviously, you guys did a lot.
00:35Oh, man.
00:36It was amazing.
00:38It was so fun.

00:41I feel like we can just shoot out some stories.

00:44So, we started in the Netherlands in Amsterdam.
00:48It was super awesome.
00:49It was so chill.
00:50And everyone was, like, so happy.
00:52Like, they were just happy to be alive.
00:54Just, it was nice.
00:56It was so different.
00:57You could feel the work-life balance.
01:00Yeah.
01:00And it was awesome.
01:01Like, we had a great show.
01:02The first venue was The Cave.
01:05And that's the one that we played previously.
01:08Yes.
01:08So, we got to go back there.
01:10And it was crazy because our old band sticker was still on the wall.
01:13Of course, we had a new one there.
01:16Oh, yeah.
01:16And it was funny because when we got there, the bass amp blew up.
01:21And the bar owner was literally on stage, like, soldering it live.
01:26And he got it working just through time for the show.
01:31So, it was so rock and roll and chill.
01:33And then I have one more cool story from, like, the Amsterdam show, which was, we,
01:39Oh, yeah.
01:40And we met this awesome bass player at the bar there.
01:47I don't want to butcher his name.
01:49It's like, yeah, you didn't, or something.
01:52You didn't, or so.
01:53So, okay, so, like, he's this amazing bass player.
01:56And he has played with Aspira and some other bands before.
01:59And he knew of our friend, Chris Dovis, who, you know, we met, like, at Berklee and scene
02:05and stuff.
02:06And we're good homies.
02:07So, we sent a little photo, like, hey, we met your buddy and sent it back to him.
02:13And I was, like, so excited.
02:14So, it was really cool.
02:16And we all, like, hit it off.
02:17All worlds.
02:18It was kind of a magical little thing.
02:19It was crazy, because, like, he came to the venue, like, just randomly, you know?
02:24Like, it wasn't for us.
02:25He just showed up, and then we were able to hang.
02:27It was so cool.
02:29That's hilarious.
02:30Yeah, across the ocean.

02:32It was really cool.
02:36So, and, yeah, Chris is playing with Testament now.

02:44And the other bass player from this bass player duo that they're starting is the bass player of Testament.
02:51And so, when we were there, we were like, oh, my God, now we got to send a photo back to him of all of us.

03:05I thought it was really fun that we got to celebrate you guys' birthday there.

04:20It was just really cool.
04:22And it, like, started pouring while we were inside this little green room tent.

04:30And then the guy that booked the event that we were staying with made mead.
04:40So, we got some homemade mead at this, like, Viking-y green room tent situation.

04:47And then the breakfast.

04:54The next morning was...
04:56They cooked eggs and other breakfast foods.

05:09So, when I came out and I, like, scooped out some food, which was so nice.

05:19So, like, but I love this stuff.
05:21And they were, like, it's eggs.
05:22And I was, like, what?
05:23This is so much better.
05:25It's heated.
05:26It tastes like food meat.
05:27And then while we were there,
05:29because we got to stay with the promoter.
05:30Underground desk.
05:31That was super awesome.

05:39We got to try homemade Belgian chocolate
05:42because their neighbor made it.
05:46And so we got to try some Belgian chocolate.
05:48It was completely amazing.
05:50And then we walked around a castle.

05:54We walked around so many cool castles.
05:56It was, like, it was a castle tour.

09:16almost a triple rainbow.

22:14consider the growth

22:19when we do plan those things.

22:57we kind of had all the songs
23:00and then from there
23:01we were like,

23:03which order are we going to put them in?
23:04So like,
23:04it was kind of like a last,
23:06last thought there.

23:09I don't do any of the,
23:11the original writing.
23:12I just kind of,
23:13the twins bring songs to me
23:14and then I add the drums
23:15and then I'm like,

23:16we could kind of change the guitar

23:19structural stuff of the song
23:20comes from the twins.
23:21So I don't know if
23:22when they're doing that,
23:24they're thinking of stuff.

23:29and we're just
23:29pushing together at the end.
23:32Honestly,

23:59you know,
24:00holds a special place
24:01in every guy's hearts
24:02and or tell me about it,
24:04what it's like to be
24:05in a rock group.

24:08it's not a theme,
24:09but certainly like a strong,
24:10like foundation of stuff like that.

24:19it's been a whole journey
24:21for me.
24:22So for Pride Month,
24:23I think,
24:24I mean,
24:24we all obviously support pride
24:27and we love love.

24:28We shoot for trying
24:30to be as authentic as possible
24:31and like trying to be,
24:32you know,
24:32true to ourselves.
24:33And it's obviously very hard.
24:35And we've all gone through
24:36some serious trials
24:37and tribulations
24:38relating to who we are
24:39and stuff like that.
24:40And it doesn't help
24:41being in the public eye
24:42as well,
24:43because then you have to,
24:44and you shouldn't have to,
24:45but I wonder
24:47what everyone's going to think.
24:49And,
24:49you know,
24:49like basically,
24:50you know,
24:51I started,
24:52I was a girl
24:53at the beginning
24:53of Stormstress
24:54and then transitioned
24:56like a couple of years
24:57or like a year
24:58into it basically.
25:00So it started out
25:02like,
25:03you know,
25:03it's like,
25:03it's an all-girl band.
25:04And that was another thing.
25:05We always wanted
25:06like to have an all-girl band
25:07because,
25:08you know,
25:08we just,
25:09girls are awesome.
25:10I don't know.
25:10It's just a different energy
25:11that's working.
25:12And so,
25:13you know,
25:13I was like starting
25:14to kind of have
25:15some feelings
25:16about,
25:17you know,
25:17being trans,
25:19you know,
25:19it's like really simplified,
25:21but like,
25:22and I'm just like,
25:23oh no,
25:23like what if I come out
25:25as who I really am
25:26and people don't support
25:26the band anymore
25:27because it's not all girls,
25:29which is like
25:30a very toxic thought,
25:32but that's what was
25:33going through my head.
25:34And I was so worried
25:35like people would like
25:37dislike the band
25:38after I came out as trans
25:39or,
25:40you know,
25:40I'd get like hate mail
25:41or anything,
25:42but it has actually
25:44been pretty great.
25:44I'm so,
25:45I'm so grateful
25:46for our fan base.
25:47I think we've cultivated
25:48like a really beautiful
25:49fan base
25:50because everyone
25:51is just so supportive
25:53and like,
25:54I was so scared
25:54and some people
25:55close to us
25:56were like,
25:56don't do it,
25:57you know,
25:58it's going to mess
25:58things up.
25:59And then we did it anyway
26:00because I needed to be me
26:02and we all respect that.
26:03And these guys
26:04were just so supportive
26:05of me and like,
26:06they never said anything
26:07about like,
26:08oh,
26:08then it won't be
26:08an all girl band.
26:09Like they were just like,
26:10yeah,
26:10dude,
26:11be you,
26:11be you.
26:12Like this looks good on you.
26:13The whole bestie band.
26:14There's just like,
26:15there's so much support
26:16and like,
26:17I got so much support
26:18from the band fans
26:19and everything.
26:20And I just like,
26:21it really,
26:22it made me realize
26:23that if you are true
26:24to yourself,
26:25the right people
26:26will be there.
26:27And if they're not there
26:29or,
26:29you know,
26:30if people suck,
26:30they can just go away
26:31and stop,
26:32stop infecting your space.
26:35So yeah,
26:35and we've all played
26:37and there's this,
26:38there's this town
26:40in at the Cape
26:41of Massachusetts
26:42that's very tip.
26:43It's called Provincetown.
26:44Oh,

26:45local ESP town.
26:49Just the tip.
26:50And like,
26:50we used to play shows
26:51there a lot.
26:53It'd be like bar shows
26:54and we just like,
26:54play for three hours
26:55at the lesbian bar.
26:57And we made so many
26:59friends and fans
27:00through that.
27:01and it's just like,
27:02it's always been
27:02a special theme
27:04in our heart
27:04and,
27:05and yeah,
27:06we're just,
27:07we're all kind of different
27:08and it's just
27:09gotta,
27:10gotta like,
27:11lay into it.

27:15I certainly didn't,

27:17by being at like,
27:18Riff Fest last year,

27:19every fan I encountered

28:21for the better.

28:22we both struggle
28:23with various things
28:25with that gender dysphoria.

28:30everything just suddenly
28:31makes sense.
28:33Because we've always
28:35been like,
28:36opposite,
28:37but similar.
28:38And now it's like,
28:40to the core.

28:47We split from one egg,
28:48but identical twins
28:49are typically the same
28:50gender born anyway.
28:52And we have this kind of

28:59genetically identical twins.
29:00And we get to be each,

29:03I get to fully embody
