00:01Amid a feared deadlock in nuclear talks,
00:04tensions between the US and Iran have flared up again.
00:08After a week-long war of words,
00:10Donald Trump confirmed that US diplomats were being removed from the region.
00:15Well, they are being moved out because it could be a dangerous place
00:19and we'll see what happens.
00:21But we've given notice to move out and we'll see what happens.
00:26American and Iranian negotiators have been planning to meet later this week
00:31for another round of talks, but Trump told reporters on Monday
00:35that Iran had adopted an unacceptable negotiating position,
00:38in particular on enrichment.
00:41A US-backed plan suggested that Iran could only enrich uranium at low levels,
00:46effectively blocking Iran's ability to enrich the fuel to produce a nuclear weapon.
00:51Well, they're just asking for things that you can't do.
00:55They don't want to give up what they have to give up.
00:58You know what that is.
00:59They seek enrichment.
01:02We can't have enrichment.
01:04They have given us their thoughts on the deal
01:08and I said, you know, it's just not acceptable.
01:10Many are concerned about the risk of a potential regional conflagration
01:15between Iran and Israel should diplomacy fail.
01:18Israeli officials have repeatedly threatened to attack Iran
01:22if it does not effectively surrender its nuclear program.
01:25On Wednesday, the Iranian defense minister issued a warning
01:28in the event that the talks broke down.
01:31God willing, the talks will bring results.
01:36But if they don't and conflict is imposed to us,
01:38the enemy's losses will be greater than ours.
01:41In that case, America will have to leave the region
01:44because all its bases are within our reach and without hesitation.
01:49We will target all of them in the host countries.
01:52Analysts say that Iran is now on the brink of being able to manufacture enough nuclear material
02:01to fuel a nuclear weapon.
02:03The hostilities came as the International Atomic Energy Agency said it would vote to censure Iran,
02:09accusing it of rapidly advancing its nuclear program
02:12and violating commitments of the 2015 nuclear deal.
02:16censure would lead to the re-imposition of heavy economic sanctions on Tehran
02:21that were lifted as part of that same deal.
