00:00Yesterday, an NFL veteran was released, that would be Jair Alexander, cornerback, formerly

00:06of the Green Bay Packers.

00:09I think the Patriots should go take a look.

00:10I know it's not a wide receiver, I know it's not necessarily a weapon on offense, but right

00:14now it seems like your defense is your strength.

00:16It doesn't hurt to always add another guy.

00:18I think you're going to be able to get him at a discounted price because he's only played

00:22seven games in the last two seasons due to injuries and such.

00:25So I think this is an opportunity for you to bring in another veteran corner, add to

00:30that already strong corner room with a guy like Christian Gonzalez, Carlton Davis, and

00:34even guys like Marcus Jones, and really kind of solidify that back half of the defense

00:38knowing how dominant your front four could be this year.

00:41If you can add another veteran cornerback, I think that helps this football team.

00:46I think it's worth going to take a look, see what the price tag is, and maybe bring him

00:49in.

00:50Speaking of wide receivers and the New England Patriots, it was kind of nice to know that

00:57Chris Godwin did confirm, apparently, yesterday or the day before, that they offered him $30

01:02million a year, and he said no.

01:05He likes Florida, no state tax.

01:08Sounds like they were willing to spend the New England Patriots.

01:11I still feel like there's some wide receivers that are available that they can go out and

01:15get.

01:15I think Amari Cooper's still available.

01:20Yeah, so I mean, it could be another guy that they could bring in just to roll the

01:24On that topic, though, then why didn't they trade for DK Metcalf?

01:38I think it's beneficial to Godwin to tell everybody that he chose to take less money to

01:43remain in Florida as opposed to anything else.

01:46I mean, I don't think it's like, you know, I think he was offered more money here and

01:50he chose to play there, but the Patriots had ample opportunities to sign a talented receiver

01:55or trade for one.
