00:00we've watched a lot of finals before we've seen the road team go into the home team's building

00:05and steal games but is this indiana team as the kids say brad built different is this a team that

00:12legitimately can beat the thunder in a seven game series oh seven games is a tough ask right um

00:20initially i wrote about this game on nbc sports and i had thunder and six i thought it was crazy

00:26for anybody who is out there or was out there now because their tickets lost was betting thunder to

00:31sweep right like this is a really good pacers team a deep pacers team and it showed yesterday the

00:36pacers outscored the thunder uh 39 to 28 and one thing i really like about this pacers team is they

00:43move the ball really well if you continuously have stagnant one player iso offense it's going to catch

00:50up to you especially in matters times when you need it the most and it kind of caught up to okc but

00:54more importantly the pacers at the end of the game just were playing harder than the thunder were

01:00and i think that's just the drive that happens early in a series but i'm not at all worried about

01:06the thunder just like sga said in the press conference he it's the nba finals right it's

01:10the first to win four not the first to win one yeah i think those are all fair statements and by the

01:16way the odds represent that we'll get to that in the second halliburton with 14 points and 10

01:21rebounds yesterday not the biggest game but hit the biggest shot sga had 38 points seven of eight

01:27from the free throw line 14 of 30 from the field so he went way over his prop last night halliburton

01:34though of course with the game winner sga with the biggest game of them all all right now let's move

01:39on to the series odds we've got the thunder down from minus 500 to minus 330 and the pacers

01:46basically now at plus 265 if they win the next game it's going to be even money to win the series

01:52which is kind of crazy uh now here's where the big shift is though brad total games on the over five

01:59and a half and six and a half have significantly shifted and the thunder went from minus one and a

02:05half games to being big minus money to now just minus 104 on the fan duel sportsbook so any thought

02:13process changing from watching the first game not really um i think it just becomes more enticing to

02:20take thunder uh minus one and a half let's not forget that the thunder were up 15 in that game and

02:27the pacers have shown in these playoffs a history of coming back from big leads right uh they did it

02:33against milwaukee they were they were down by 17 with 34 to go did it against cleveland down seven with 48 to

02:39go did it against new york when they were down uh nine with 51 seconds to go i just think this this

02:46thunder team are going to have to kind of go and rethink strategy um you know the old saying is

02:53as the better team you don't make the adjustments you make the other team make the adjustments i think

02:58they kind of fumbled the isaiah hartenstein minutes allotment a little too early they went small

03:05and a lot of occasions in that game kind of to match the the pacers ability to move the ball

03:11in their pace and it kind of backfired on them but we like i said we have to remember they were up 15

03:17points it's not like they were getting dominated in this game the pacers led one time there was one

03:21lead change in this game and it just happened to be at the end of it now the the odds basically for game

03:28two are similar brad but they've made the thunder a bigger favorite assuming that they're going to win

03:35but the way that indiana's playing i mean as long as they keep this game close i would think that

03:41they could be there in the end total 227 and a half for game two on saturday at 8 p.m eastern do you

03:49think that the series is tied up after game two and does indiana keep this one close

03:55yeah i think the series is tied up there um i just feel like there's like i gotta be a point where we

04:02kind of stop disrespecting the pacers though right like i'm just not running to the window

04:08and betting the thunder a spread that's two points larger than in game one the pacers let's put this

04:15in perspective the pacers turn the ball over like 24 times and still we're only down 15 they're not

04:21going to turn the ball over and they're not going to lose the turnover margin by that much of a margin

04:25right by almost 16 turnovers so i think we start to get into that scary that scary territory

04:31but i i have to just say this one more time put isaiah hartenstein back in that starting lineup

04:36because he's even more effective for the offensive sets right the pick and rolls it helps the ball

04:41movement out a lot more than just all this iso ball with sga and jaylen williams if that thunder

04:47team plays really good defense they bunker down um and they're moving the ball effectively and score

04:52well yeah they'll cover the spread but don't ever count out the pacers this is a team that believes

04:57and they continuously get disrespected in the odds market and i think better smart bettors have

05:03capitalized on it
