00:00It can't be right that during April, across Wales, there were 10,000 people waiting more
00:11than 12 hours in A&E. And in our Nire and Bevan health board, we had over 1,000 people
00:18waiting more than 12 hours for that same period in April. I've got no criticism of our nurses
00:25and doctors and everybody who's trying their hardest. But the reality is there seems to
00:30be system failure. That's not just in Malmöshire, this is across Wales. It's terrible that in
00:37Wales we still see over 8,000 people waiting more than two years for an appointment. In
00:43England, with 57 million people, there are currently only 147 people waiting more than
00:50two years. Now there's something wrong here and we need to do a lot more to get under
00:55the situation. The Welsh Conservatives have a plan to fix the health service in Wales.
01:02First thing we would do would be to declare a health emergency and get to that aspiration
01:07where nobody will be waiting more than a year for treatment. We've got to try to make strides
01:13to improve the situation that our residents face here in Malmöshire. So the Conservatives
01:22have a plan to fix the NHS and we will be rolling that out if we get elected now in 2026.
