00:00There is a huge solar farm being proposed for the constituency based in Pontier but it will

00:12span some of Torvine and Newport. This is going to cover 304 acres of prime agricultural land.

00:19Now I think we all agree that we need to move toward renewables but at what cost? It can't be

00:25right that we pursue one environmental goal at the expense of another. So over the coming months

00:31as we see what this proposal really means and as it comes forward I will be working hard with the

00:37local community to make sure all of our questions are answered because it's so right that when

00:42something as big as this that can have such a dramatic impact on local communities everybody's

00:48voice should be heard.
