Neil Greenberg is taking the value on Jared Goff to win the NFL MVP next season.
Transcript
00:00He's a slight fellow.
00:01Okay, Greenberg, future number two.
00:04Jared Goff, MVP, if you can find 25-1 or better.
00:10Wow.
00:11Yeah, so here's the thing.
00:13I don't hate it.
00:14That's a juicy number.
00:15So here's the thing.
00:16Typically, the eventual MVP winner is going to be a quarterback on a team
00:22that is top in their conference and or one of the highest scoring teams in the league.
00:28And you look at the teams that are kind of on that short list,
00:31Baltimore, Kansas City, teams like that.
00:39And then if you look at what those quarterbacks are going for,
00:44they're usually going to be in like the plus 500 to plus 1,000 range.
00:51Obviously, Josh Allen's there, Jalen Hurts, et cetera.
00:55But, you know, Goff, I do think, is also in that mix for the Lions.
01:02And I think when you look at how skewed his value is,
01:10I think that it makes sense.
01:12Now, I know that there's some changes coming in Detroit.
01:15They just had their very important lineman retire.
01:19But they have that whole offseason to figure it out.
01:26They're obviously going to be a competitive team.
01:29They're going to be a high-scoring team, I believe.
01:32And if those two things come together, then I think Jared Goff,
01:36comparatively to some of the other prices that are out there,
01:40you know, 10 to 1 and below,
01:42it makes a lot of sense to take a value play like this.
01:45But I kind of like that.
01:47I mean, it's a flyer, but it's a big hitter.
01:50All your analysis makes sense to me.
01:53You think Goff could win it, B?
01:55The MVP?
01:56Yeah.
01:59If they get a coach that can run Gibbs consistently
02:04and play off of that, yes.
02:06But if they're not running Gibbs consistently, no.
02:09But then if you run Gibbs,
02:10I go through to the bottom right.
