00:01:04reportedly on the trading block

00:01:05benched in favor of freeze and in the

00:01:07rain he gets it done here third and

00:01:09five watch Galloway fight Calvin

00:01:11Jackson for the ball goes 65 yards for

00:01:14the touchdown and Seattle had a seven

00:01:16to three lead and then freeze on his

00:01:18very next pass a little bit under

00:01:21thrown but Galloway runs underneath it

00:01:29three lead meanwhile Craig Erickson

00:01:30filling in for the injured Dan Marino

00:01:32started slowly but here he connects with

00:01:34Randall Hill that good for a 33 yard

00:01:36touchdown pass as Seattle at halftime has

00:01:40a surprising 14 to 9 lead you know and

00:01:44Dan the big thing in this ball game is

00:01:46that Seattle had to find a way to get

00:01:47the ball back in the hands of Joey

00:01:49Galloway he had been a missing part of

00:01:51this offense now for so long Rick Meyer

00:01:54simply unable to get him the football

00:01:56and give a tip of the hat to Craig

00:01:57Erickson as well he had everything go

00:01:59wrong for him that first to have four

00:02:01fumbled snaps a lot of different

00:02:02problems he hung in there though and is

00:02:04keeping the Dolphins in this one yeah

00:02:06the big difference in the game really

00:02:07is the Dolphins defense to me they're

00:02:08not tackling like they were tackling

00:02:10earlier in the year and they're going

00:02:11back to what they did last year they

00:02:12missed some coverages two big plays

00:02:14basically came down to miss tackles

00:02:16and the fumbles that's that's the only

00:02:17difference in the football game and

00:02:19this is uncharacteristic of Jimmy

00:02:20Johnson football team and they got to

00:02:22get back on track they got to just not

00:02:23turn the football over play good

00:02:24defense they'll win this football game

00:02:26that game is early in the third

00:02:27quarter and so are the Vikings and the

00:02:28Panthers in a low-scoring affair in the

00:02:31NFC it is Minnesota up seven to nothing

00:02:33as Warren Moon has found Chris Carter

00:02:35on a five-yard touchdown pass well

00:02:37Brett Favre is lighting it up in

00:02:38Chicago he has gotten the Packers a 20

00:02:40to 6 lead he's got three touchdown

00:02:42passes 19 for the year as the

00:02:45Packers are up big on Chicago that game

00:02:47in the third quarter New England at

00:02:48Baltimore in the game you are watching

00:02:50it is the Baltimore Ravens down by 620

00:02:53to 14 as the New England Patriots have

00:02:55the lead in that one both of these

00:02:57teams trying to break above the 500 mark

00:02:59yeah and let's give uh

00:03:00Vinnie Testaverde a little bit of

00:03:01credit a couple weeks ago against

00:03:03Houston he played so horribly and he

00:03:04came out after the game he said

00:03:06I guarantee I'll never play another

00:03:07game like that and I think everybody

00:03:09sort of rolled their eyes and so yeah

00:03:11Vinnie we've seen that one before

00:03:12for the last couple weeks he has played

00:03:14much better had a good first half here

00:03:15today well Bill Parcells got to be very

00:03:17happy because he preached about a road

00:03:19win they need a win on the road they

00:03:20need a win very badly today because

00:03:22their schedule gets very brutal the

00:03:23next couple weeks and and right now

00:03:25they're doing all the things they have

00:03:26to do to win this football game now

00:03:28what they got to do when they get

00:03:29Testaverde Testaverde trapped they got

00:03:31to tackle them they've missed them a

00:03:32couple times well it's gone from bad to

00:03:34worse to even worse as we check out the

00:03:36score in the Oakland Raiders and New

00:03:38York Jets playing in the Meadowlands it is

00:03:40the Oakland Raiders with the lead 13 to

00:03:42three now the Jets already playing

00:03:44without Keyshawn Johnson out with

00:03:46arthroscopic surgery on his right knee

00:03:48more problems for you New York

00:03:49Webster Slaughter pulls up lane with a

00:03:51strained right hamstring he missed the

00:03:52rest of the half second quarter Raiders

00:03:54driving Hostetler drops back finds a

00:04:02this is the worst news for the Jets

00:04:04Neil O'Donnell hit hard by a blitzing

00:04:06Albert Lewis left the game with a right

00:04:08shoulder injury and the reports on him

00:04:11as he was taken to the locker room for

00:04:12x-rays a second degree shoulder

00:04:14separation in his right shoulder and

00:04:16he's expected to miss four to six weeks

00:04:19so Keyshawn Johnson out and now Neil O'Donnell

00:04:21out for the winless Jets at 0-5 and

00:04:24running out the scoreboard it is the

00:04:26Lions all over the Falcons that game at

00:04:28halftime 28-7 Scott Mitchell has three

00:04:31touchdown passes and he also has run for

00:04:34one as the Lions are up big 28-7 at the

00:04:36half well we'll talk about one of our big

00:04:38four o'clock games Indianapolis and

00:04:40Buffalo as we hear from Bill's head

00:04:42coach Marv Levy we'll get to that after

00:04:55the Patriots holding to a 20 to 14

00:04:57advantage over the home Baltimore Ravens

00:04:59here in Baltimore as we look at a

00:05:02touchdown you were looking for Beasley

00:05:04well I knew that the matchup of the 6-4

00:05:06Michael Jackson against any of the

00:05:08Patriots cornerbacks would work and it

00:05:10did that time and in duress you always

00:05:13can look for Bledsoe to look for the

00:05:15great tight end Ben Coates and even

00:05:17when they know he's looking for him

00:05:18Ben Coates still comes down with the

00:05:20ball here's a touchdown now I'm not

00:05:22to take anything away from New

00:05:23England but I think a lot of that

00:05:25touchdown was to do with the fact

00:05:26that the safeties were out of the game

00:05:28you had backup safeties there well

00:05:30after Bledsoe hit the dry spell he

00:05:32missed seven passes in a row and one

00:05:33point I hit only one of ten the

00:05:35Patriots came back to score on their

00:05:37last three possessions of the half

00:05:39but this could be one of those

00:05:40last at bat games they're going to

00:05:42go back and forth for the rest of

00:05:43the way well you know how we talk

00:05:44before a game we try to figure out

00:05:46who's going to win and I looked at

00:05:47Don and said I don't know two

00:05:48evenly matched teams and they are

00:05:50going back and forth this is a

00:05:51great one let's go with some nice

00:05:53first half numbers 12 of 24 a pass

00:05:56for 148 yards and two touchdowns as

00:05:58we look at the Coors Light

00:05:59a half-time statistic rushing

00:06:01yardage was looked down as a vital

00:06:03statistic by both coaches coming in

00:06:06and the Ravens have a big advantage

00:06:07there and as a result they've got

00:06:09the big advantage when it comes to

00:06:11time of possession so if I had to

00:06:13predict which team was headed in

00:06:15the right direction it's the team

00:06:16that can run the ball and that's

00:06:18the Ravens but the Patriots have

00:06:19been some big pass plays Drew

00:06:21Bledsoe really on today and now the

00:06:25Patriots will get the ball to open

00:06:26the third quarter as the kickoff

00:06:28comes downfield Roy Brown from the

00:06:30nine and Brown is across the 30

00:06:34and a penalty marker is mired in

00:06:36from a back judge which invariably

00:06:39seeing signals a legal block by

00:06:42the return team and a lot of

00:06:45penalties as we pointed out the

00:06:47Ravens had only 11 of the way

00:06:49there was not a low block the man

00:06:51hitting at the waist and above

00:06:52the first down they pick up the

00:06:54flag you see Bledsoe 148 passing

00:06:59yards in the first half start of

00:07:01the game hitting his first four

00:07:03throws for 58 yards that set up

00:07:06the opening score of an a Terry

00:07:07field goal I'll tell you Drew got

00:07:09away from the conservative

00:07:10passing for a while but when he

00:07:13did start hitting them downfield

00:07:15it's one of those things where you

00:07:16say no no no yes yes yes Steve

00:07:18on Moore is back in the defensive

00:07:20secondary of the Ravens but as you

00:07:22saw on the sideline Eric Turner

00:07:23still out with a bad ankle out of

00:07:25the backfield Curtis Martin not

00:07:27done somehow fighting his way

00:07:30ahead for a game of almost 10

00:07:32yards Curtis Martin is a throwback

00:07:35to the shifty guys the guys with

00:07:37moves I mean they tell running

00:07:39backs that they don't spend a lot

00:07:40of time making moves and cutting

00:07:42you know find an angle and slash up

00:07:44in there but Curtis Martin makes a

00:07:46tremendous look at that

00:07:47tremendous amount of yards

00:07:49bouncing off tacklers and shaking

00:07:51guys and Gerald Williams on 57

00:07:56that he bounced off of you'll hear

00:07:57from that you'll hear about that

00:07:58in the meeting Curtis says

00:08:00Carl cells keeps him humble you

00:08:01can have a great game but he'll

00:08:02point out the little thing you did

00:08:03wrong and he likes that Martin

00:08:05said he keeps you focused as on

00:08:07second and just a foot they carry

00:08:09is good for about three yards and

00:08:11a Patriot first down out to their

00:08:12forty six yard line Tim Goad was on

00:08:15the tackle there's Gerald

00:08:16Williams he was out of football

00:08:18last year he just missed attack

00:08:20he opened the hair salon back in

00:08:22his hometown and you know he used

00:08:24to play for Marvin Lewis the

00:08:25defensive coordinator from

00:08:26Baltimore at Pittsburgh he talked

00:08:29him into coming back out and

00:08:30here he is starting now Marvin's

00:08:31not going to be too happy about

00:08:33the tackle he just missed a

00:08:34couple of places actually open a

00:08:35hair salon in Las Vegas of all

00:08:37places give those Elvis looks

00:08:39going past gas out of the back

00:08:43field and first in the can he's

00:08:44close to the 49 yard line gain of

00:08:47a couple of yards shut down by

00:08:49cornerback Antonio Langham of

00:08:51Baltimore you know gas is an

00:08:53interesting player he's a one of

00:08:54the best blockers in the league

00:08:56but when you ask him to do other

00:08:57things you have to make the play

00:09:00for him you know he's not the

00:09:01kind of fluid athlete who's going

00:09:03to adjust to a bad throw but if

00:09:05you put it right there he'll catch

00:09:06it and if you hand him the ball

00:09:08and send him the block you'll

00:09:09make the block let's go on second

00:09:13down moves away from the rush off

00:09:15the back foot makes the connection

00:09:17downfield John Jefferson the

00:09:19receiver John Jefferson takes the

00:09:20ball into the 39 yard line on a

00:09:22second and eighth play good for a

00:09:24gain of about 12 yards and a

00:09:26first down for the pages have been

00:09:28waiting for their great Vincent

00:09:29Brisbane to give back but as long

00:09:31as Shawn Jefferson's playing like

00:09:32this you know this once again you

00:09:34know you're going to get

00:09:35clobbered I mean they leave you

00:09:43going to get hit and Shawn

00:09:44Jefferson has gone up gotten a

00:09:45couple of them today Bledsoe very

00:09:48much in command of this offense

00:09:51even when the rush is on he's been

00:09:53accurate stands in fires again

00:09:55look at that throw to Terry

00:09:56Glenn that is absolutely brilliant

00:10:03talk about a fastball is Glenn comes

00:10:05back to the wrong side well they've

00:10:08got a couple of balls that Antonio

00:10:10Langham here Langham has the

00:10:11reputation for get catching pass

00:10:13interference calls and also for

00:10:15jumping double cuts you see him

00:10:17turn Langham completely around on

00:10:19the play and Langham giving Glenn a

00:10:21lot of results in yards off the

00:10:24guy they're watching in Columbus

00:10:26Ohio is this ex Buckeye Terry

00:10:28Glenn John Cooper says it's the best

00:10:30wide receiver he's ever been

00:10:32around he's had some very good

00:10:33ones here's a lob pass to the end

00:10:34zone and a penalty marker on the

00:10:36Ravens the Ravens struggling on

00:10:41defense now against this assault as

00:10:43passing is all of Drew Bledsoe and

00:10:46the New England Patriots well that

00:10:51was young Donnie Brady I'm a 24 I

00:10:58thought number 24 ball replaces the

00:11:04one yard line first down I think I

00:11:07hear a little profanity out there

00:11:08they need to cut that out but you

00:11:11can't really see it here but Terry

00:11:12Glenn tried to run around Donnie

00:11:17Brady and Donnie Brady feels like he

00:11:20was wrong on the call based on some

00:11:23of the English the wrong words

00:11:28here is a play fake Bledsoe takes

00:11:30a look and he throws and gets his

00:11:33man in the end zone and it looks

00:11:35like a backup tight end Mike

00:11:37Bartram came down with the ball

00:11:39with his first NFL touchdown and

00:11:42there is a happy guy you know that

00:11:43football is going back to the

00:11:44Bartram household Barkham is

00:11:48listed as the third string or the

00:11:53fourth tight end on this team he's

00:11:55actually the fourth so he's a happy

00:11:57guy you go from fourth tight end to

00:11:59touchdown maker even hugging Bill

00:12:02Parcells love it Purnell is

00:12:05actually the third tight end yeah

00:12:06ourselves with that power football

00:12:10loves tight ends he has four of them

00:12:11on his roster now the Patriots building

00:12:16with a twenty six fourteen lead look

00:12:17to go for two on the point after a

00:12:21two points after if they can make

00:12:22it more that is a very large team

00:12:25timeout Ravens quickly called in

00:12:27timeout because they were caught

00:12:28off guard if successful the two

00:12:31point conversion would make it a

00:12:32fourteen point advantage for the

00:12:34Patriots and they indeed were not

00:12:36in a defense position to work

00:12:38against a Bledsoe pass there's a

00:12:43happy mr. Bartram the tight end

00:12:46touchdown maker and he had to come

00:12:49from all the way across the field to

00:12:50score on this uh reception and really

00:12:54he used Ben Coates did the Patriots as

00:12:57a decoy of sorts

00:13:01now he's one of these tight ends right

00:13:03here and here's Ben Coates up at the

00:13:06other end I see Bertram come from all

00:13:09the way back of the end zone and

00:13:12wait wait wait come around behind

00:13:14Ben Coates and makes the touchdown

00:13:18so that's a nicely designed play

00:13:19because they know they're going to pay

00:13:21a lot of attention to Ben Coates

00:13:24Ben Coates was covered but nobody so

00:13:26Bartram coming from the back and we're

00:13:27really seeing a new dimension of

00:13:29Bledsoe he seems to be at his best

00:13:30today when he's scrambling that's

00:13:32something that he's not been adept at

00:13:33in the past but he is letting things

00:13:36open up as he's buying time with

00:13:37some of these rollouts and then

00:13:38just sheer sprints away from the

00:13:40pass rush and finding the right man

00:13:43what I like about his performance

00:13:44today Don is that he's he's not

00:13:46being cautious I mean he's he's

00:13:49going for the big plays the

00:13:50conservative plays this is more of

00:13:53the gunslinger Drew Bledsoe and

00:13:55he's starting to put up those

00:13:56handsome numbers three TDs today he

00:13:58now has nine touchdown throws for

00:14:00the season just three

00:14:01interceptions for the year his

00:14:03quarterback rating could jump to

00:14:05about 90 after this game yes it

00:14:07will the number one determining

00:14:11factor in that QB rating is

00:14:12touchdown to interception ratio and

00:14:16his is very good March abroad of

00:14:21the Ravens Beasley who came in

00:14:22hoping to be able to run the ball

00:14:24and control the clock and keep

00:14:25Bledsoe on his right arm off the

00:14:26field well after this point after

00:14:29attempt we'll see what the Patriots

00:14:30have to do but they might be forced

00:14:32into an all out passing game and

00:14:33that's really what they wanted they

00:14:34wanted to stop the Ravens from

00:14:35running and make test of hurdy beat

00:14:37them now the two point package

00:14:44comes in Curtis Martin comes on the

00:14:46field three tight ends in the game

00:14:51then coaches to the left the top

00:14:55Bartram that's Bartram coming in

00:15:10extend to the biggest lead of the

00:15:11game they now lead at 28 to 14 and

00:15:14New England will kick off when the

00:15:23we're back in Baltimore some call it

00:15:24Birdland where the Orioles have sent

00:15:26this town into celebration ousting

00:15:28the Indians and now the Ravens have

00:15:31some work to do if they're to get

00:15:32back in this game against the

00:15:33Patriots railing 28 to 14

00:15:37Jermaine Lewis straight back with a

00:15:40kick return that takes him out close

00:15:41to the 25 yard line you know I

00:15:44talked about Sam Gash I said that

00:15:46you know if you put it there he'll

00:15:47catch it that's true Bledsoe puts

00:16:01a what that was an all pro wide

00:16:03receiver type catch fingertips the

00:16:07ball coming over two defenders you

00:16:09see it at the last second that was

00:16:10a super catch by Gash test to

00:16:14Verde and the Ravens now looking to

00:16:15get back in the game they'll be

00:16:17firing soon as play as a run Ernest

00:18:43other three quarterbacks in the

00:18:45league who are the number one

00:18:46overall picks Jeff George but

00:18:49really we're not sure how good

00:18:50he's ever going to be Troy Aikman

00:18:52who is the best player in the

00:18:53National Football League look at

00:18:55the numbers his team wins three

00:18:57Super Bowls in four years and

00:18:59without him in the lineup as Jerry

00:19:01Jones says we're a very ordinary

00:19:02team Aikman and Elway headed to

00:19:06Cooperstown even Canton that is I'm

00:19:10thinking glorious you got some

00:19:13guys headed there look at the

00:19:16throw down field is again Bledsoe

00:19:18so certain of where he's going

00:19:47continuing hamstring problem he's

00:19:50still one of the best around here

00:19:53and Sean Jefferson runs under it as

00:19:56Bledsoe has been absolutely

00:19:58superior thirty five yard

00:20:00touchdown throw and the game has

00:20:03been blown wide open on the right

00:20:04arm of Drew Bledsoe all of a

00:20:07sudden the New England Patriots

00:20:09have two guys who can stretch a

00:20:11team vertically as quickly as

00:20:13any pair in the National Football

00:20:14League Jefferson can fly he lines

00:20:18up off the screen you just saw him

00:20:20flash by at the bottom of your

00:20:21screen and runs across the

00:20:23football field away from the

00:20:25world that's just a track play if

00:20:29not the world certainly away from

00:20:30Steve on Moore right he was at

00:20:33separation speed they talk about
