00:00I was in the backyard and saw this vibrant, green parrot.

00:05Ah!

00:07Okay.

00:09Never mind.

00:10So no branches.

00:12Branches are scary.

00:13I ran inside.

00:14I was like, Ashley, Ashley, come check this out.

00:16Zach, there's a possum in the tree.

00:18We noticed that our avocado tree is full of possums.

00:22I said, we gotta do something.

00:25I ran in and I put on an oversized hoodie and huge sunglasses.

00:28I did not know what was going to happen, but I figured these glasses and this sweatshirt will protect me.

00:33He's definitely owned by somebody because he's going all right on your shoulder.

00:37Just go inside.

00:37Okay.

00:39Um, are you not going to hit that head up here?

00:41Nope.

00:41Okay.

00:42Can you breathe for people?

00:43Yeah, he's comfortable.

00:44Okay, great for the lab now.

00:47Should I just put him in the guest bedroom?

00:49How are you doing?

00:51I mean, I've been worried.

00:54We were in the house and we're like, okay, we completed that step.

01:00It took us about 30 minutes to get him off of my shoulder.

01:03And then at that point, he just got onto Zach's shoulder.

01:06They need 12 hours of sleep.

01:07So I think we should close the curtains and then let him slumber.

01:11We have to like do less in life.

01:15This came to us.

01:17You did nothing.

01:17Everything just comes to us.

01:21Okay, get on the bed.

01:22This is your bed for the night.

01:23Come on.

01:24At this point, we're Googling everything.

01:26Okay, we spilled the birdseed.

01:28We didn't know how to clip it on.

01:30In retrospect, it was very clear that he was owned by someone.

01:33But he didn't have a van.

01:35We started looking online.

01:37The plan is we'll just keep on looking every day.

01:40In a few days, we'll take him in and get him scanned.

01:43And if he doesn't have a microchip, we'll figure it out.

01:45I had no idea that parrots were so loving and so affectionate.

01:52Is there a velociraptor stalking me?

01:55He acts like a dog in a lot of ways.

01:58Day three, somebody rings the doorbell.

02:01I hear the woman outside say,

02:04Hi, I'm your neighbor.

02:05Have you seen a parrot?

02:08Your baby.

02:10Hey, mom.

02:12Oh, my God.

02:14She said, Do you want to keep him?

02:16Zach and I looked at each other, and we did not say one word.

02:19We just nodded.

02:21It was very serendipitous that she just happened to be looking for someone to take him.

02:26We also need someone.

02:28We had just lost our 17-year-old dog, Marley, who I've had since high school.

02:34Everything about it, it was one puzzle piece after another.

02:38Pedro's really coming to his own.

02:40Straight from the garden.

02:42When the neighbor told us that his name has been Pedro for 23 years,

02:50we changed it to Pedro Pascal.

02:52Pedro Pascal the parrot.

02:54Whoa, look at those wings.

02:57Yeah.

02:57We own a coffee company, TBD Coffee Co.

03:03We decided to make the Pedro label.

03:11He's going to make his big caffeinated debut.
