00:00I felt like I was in a movie a lot of the time.

00:04One day a pair of beautiful lorikeets flew down and they just sat there in my presence and enjoyed

00:11chirping away. With the more time that passed the more comfortable they got.

00:16From there the news got around and that's how the mafia was formed.

00:20I'd often just keep my distance and let them make the connection.

00:30I felt that I was part of their family and like any family

00:34there's always a big rascal and that rascal was Pablo.

00:44He was the head of the whole joint, he was the one who used to come down and smash his beak on

00:49the window, see how my day was at work, wanting to hang out with me and that was such a special thing.

01:02These birds would often be my favourite thing to come home to.

01:09It does take time, it takes trust, it takes respect

01:13to ensure that they are safe, happy and free.

01:19We're all connected and when you have that connection to nature these are the special things that can happen.
