00:00Bad weekend for the Padres and the Dodgers.

00:05Yeah, go figure.

00:06It's funny, you know, it's almost like a mirror image of each other, Scott,

00:10because earlier in the year, you know, they both had the two best records of baseball.

00:13And then the first road trip when they went east, you know,

00:16the Padres, I think, were playing the Cubs and somewhere else.

00:19The Dodgers were back in Philly and somewhere else.

00:21And they both stumbled on that road trip.

00:24Then they both got hot again.

00:25Then they both got swept over the weekend.

00:27And so there's a little bit of parallel universe going on in Southern California

00:30with the Padres and Dodgers.

00:32But, you know, where the Padres are concerned, Seattle's going to do that to teams.

00:37And that's the crime of why the Mariners haven't improved their offense,

00:43because that pitching they've got is probably the best in baseball.

00:47And I talked to Justin Turner a lot about that this spring.

00:51And he was on and on.

00:52He's with the Cubs now.

00:53He didn't go, but he loved his time in Seattle.

00:55And he said, that's a really great team.

00:57So Padres ran into a buzzsaw of pitching.

01:00And, you know, we'll see if the Mariners add a bat or two toward the trade deadline.

01:04But that's a team that can lay a hurt on people.

01:07Dodgers, Angels aren't the Mariners.

01:11They're not that good.

01:13But it's baseball and anything can happen.

01:15And I think the Dodgers, you know, they're piecing it together with their pitching

01:18because they've got a lot of injuries again.

01:20And you saw Kershaw.

01:22I mean, you know, here he comes again.

01:24He got whacked, so now the watch will be on.

01:26Is he done?

01:27Does he have a few more good outings in him?

01:29They're kind of experimenting right now.

01:31I mean, I've got.

01:34I think in the middle of 2000s, Coach, he was going to go to angle one.

01:37He's like, That's simple.

01:38You know, what's that kind of thing?

01:40I know.

01:40I've got him there.

01:41He's got him there.

01:42I'm going to go down.
