00:00Hello and welcome to another edition of Look Around London. Today, we're in Primrose
00:05Hill located in North London, just north of Regent's Park. It's evolved from a royal
00:10hunting ground to one of the city's most desirable neighbourhoods. In the 16th century,
00:16the land was part of a vast forest, used by Henry VIII for deer hunting. By the 19th century,
00:22the area was opened as a public park, thanks to the expansion of London and the rise of
00:27Victorian ideals about green spaces for public good. The hill itself offers one of the city's
00:33best panoramic views, and in the 1800s, it became a popular spot for poets, radicals and
00:39stargazers. It's even rumoured to be the burial site of the mythical King Bodicea. Today,
00:46Primrose Hill balances village-like serenity with urban sophistication, a rare green gem
00:52with a storied past in the heart of London.
