00:53I'm Tom Bergeron.
00:54Monday night, it's our live final round of competition and your chance to vote for your
00:59champions.
01:00We'll present our Golden Mirror Ball on Tuesday's season finale.
01:05Tonight, we're going to take a revealing look at our three finalists with some never-before-seen
01:10footage.
01:11We'll get the inside scoop on their favorite dances.
01:13We'll check out pivotal moments on their journeys through this landmark season.
01:17Let's start with the people and places that shaped the early days of our first finalists.
01:24Here's Noah and Sharna.
01:27Noah grew up in Midfield, Alabama, right outside of Birmingham.
01:32Noah's childhood was very active, kind of mischievous.
01:37Before he was three, he was riding a bicycle with no training wheels.
01:41He has always been that tough little boy that will do whatever he sets his mind to.
01:48A lot of times when there's nothing to do, when you're bored, you find yourself just getting
01:52into trouble.
01:53Well, my parents have had to go to the police station a couple of times to pick us up.
01:57You know, it was, we were just kids being kids.
02:00Coming up on being 20 years old, I had no direction.
02:03One day I got a call from a friend of mine, and he said, turn on the TV.
02:08When I watched those towers fall, it was terrifying.
02:12It was sad.
02:13It's like, okay, if someone has chosen to attack us, and there is going to be a counterattack,
02:20I wanted to be part of it.
02:23I remember when he told me that he was going to join the service, and I was scared to death.
02:28Once I got in and started training, I loved the job.
02:33I fit in to the military, and I was on that first invasion of Iraq in 2003.
02:39I decided, this is my career.
02:41I have found what I've been looking for.
02:44But then, my entire life was flipped upside down.
02:47We found out Noah had been injured when we got a phone call from the military, and that he was in bad shape.
02:56We knew at that point he had lost the leg and an arm.
03:00But when I walked in that room, he looked wonderful, because he was alive.
03:06And that's more than a lot of other mothers could say for their children that were in the service.
03:14To wake up one day and have two of my limbs gone, it broke me.
03:22There were several times I thought I would much rather have died than to wake up like this.
03:28Noah's a warrior.
03:29And when you take a warrior away from what they're built to do, it's a recipe for depression and alcohol abuse.
03:38But one thing that always knocked sense into me was the fact that I have two sons and a daughter.
03:45And I have to do everything I can to make sure that my kids see what a man is supposed to be,
03:54what a good person is supposed to be, and that they hopefully follow in those footsteps and be the best they can be.
04:03And I reverted back to where I always found peace before, and that was in the gym.

04:19I'm so excited to work with you.
04:20When I first heard Noah was going to do Dancing with the Stars, I said, get out of town.
04:25You're broadening my scope of what dance looks like.
04:29Watch Noah Galloway keep trying and get better and better.

04:37You come out here and astonish us every single week.
04:42You hope guys to keep going.
04:44He's such a beautiful dancer, and I had no idea he had it in him.
04:48It's awesome to watch somebody like that overcome all those obstacles.
04:52You know, I'm behind him 100%, and I hope he goes and wins the Miramal Trophy.
04:55Noah teaches us to take what life has offered,
05:00and not only to deal with it,
05:04but to make it a plus.
05:05All right, that was Noah's journey.
05:11Now, let's check out the moment in training where he turned a corner.
05:16Have there been any moments throughout the season where you feel like you had a breakthrough?
05:21That's hard to say, because I feel like with each week,
05:25there was something new I was learning and I was improving.
05:27So, I mean, it's hard for me to say a particular moment where things really set in.
05:33Right.
05:33There was a really significant moment for me,
05:35and it was when we were going to use the prosthetic arm.
05:41I mean, when it was first brought up, it was a cool idea.
05:44I wasn't against it.
05:45Walk through.
05:46Sorry.
05:47It's like ****.
05:48I know, you've just got to get used to it being there.
05:50I've got to put it back on.
05:51But then I realized, oh, crap, this isn't going to be easy,
05:55because it takes so much time to adapt to it, to get used to it.
05:59And it was stressing me out.
06:00Stay on this one a little bit longer.
06:04In the wrong place?
06:05No, it came off.
06:07I hadn't had time to practice with it,
06:09and then to try to learn the dance and to try to learn the arm
06:12was, you know, just really getting to me.
06:15I don't want you to stress,
06:18but I want you to know how amazing this could be.
06:21I like the fact that, you know, we dance with one arm.
06:25To be honest with you, like, I don't think it looks cool.
06:28I don't think this does.
06:28This looks like a prop, a ridiculous prop.
06:32I hate the **** arm.
06:33It was a pivotal moment for me in understanding more about you.
06:37And as much as I was excited about being creative with it,
06:41it was not worth stressing you out like that.
06:44Personally, like, I don't wear an arm.
06:46I like doing things with one arm and making it work.
06:49You worked so hard at being comfortable with your own image.
06:54You found yourself, and you love yourself the way that you are.
06:57And so in that moment, I felt like I got to know you on a different level.
07:01It bothered me.
07:02Like, I wouldn't say that to you,
07:04because it wasn't until you made the decision for us not to use it,
07:08and I was so relieved.
07:09Leave it off.
07:10All right.
07:10I was excited to use the prosthetic arm,
07:19but that tango turned out epic anyway.
07:23I mean, the moment you lifted me over your head.
07:27It was beautiful.
07:28It was the most impressive thing that we had done yet,
07:31and we didn't need the arm.
07:32We proved how much you can do without it.
07:35I danced with an Olympic gold medalist,
07:40and we did crazy choreography,
07:42but I've achieved more than all my other seasons combined.
07:45You've inspired me every single time I walk in that room.
07:49I couldn't have been with a better dance partner.
07:51The way we work together, how creative you are,
07:53how you've been able to work with me and teach me is perfect.
07:59That's why any compliment I get from this show is for you,
08:03because every step I take is something you've taught me,
08:06so it is all you.
08:08I'm not paid.
08:09It's both of us.
08:10We're a good team.

09:34When I'm asked now, like, what's been my favorite dance, I'm contemporary.
09:38Can you believe that is the most watched video in Dancing with the Stars history?
09:41It's crazy.

09:46That moment was like, this is reaching people in a different way.
09:52Oh, I love this, except the alignment was just a fraction off.
09:57It was a good idea, though, that you had to do that with the mirror.
10:00It worked so beautifully in just that everybody understood what it meant

12:34He's actually one of the most enjoyable people to watch
12:37Because he exceeds all expectations
12:40That was one of the best dances I've ever seen you do
12:43The combination of choreography, Sharna, incredible
12:46The collaboration between Sharna and Noah
12:50Has been astonishing
12:51It is beautiful
12:52The partnership was incredible
12:56Like two instruments that are totally in tune
12:59Their balance and their partnership is unbeatable

14:48I'm on a different mission now
14:50And that makes me feel really good

15:34Now, let's get back to our exclusive look at our finalist
15:38Here's some background on Riker
15:40I was born in Littleton, Colorado
15:44The oldest of five kids
15:46He always loved being on stage
15:49He always loved performing and singing
15:51He would round up all the kids
15:52And they would do grease routines in the basement
15:55Riker was kind of always the leader growing up
15:57We were always filming like music videos
15:59And doing little like short films on YouTube and stuff like that
16:03We would all just sit around the dining room
16:05And we'd all just turn our amps way too loud
16:07And just jam away
16:09It was family first
16:10Like all my brothers are my best friends
16:12And we were going to do everything together
16:15No matter what it was
16:16When I was 16, we decided to move from Colorado to Los Angeles
16:21I was so passionate about having a career in entertainment
16:24And I wanted to do that so bad
16:26But my dad had to stay in Colorado to make this whole move possible
16:29The family had to split for the first time really ever
16:33It was kind of tough being without my dad
16:36Because my dad's like everything for the family
16:39It was a lot on Riker because he had to step up to the plate
16:41But he still never lost that spirit that he has
16:44I had been going out on auditions a ton
16:48And I got an audition for Glee
16:50I went in and I had to sing and do a little dance
16:53And got a call a couple days later
16:55That you have booked the role of Jeff on Glee
16:58Definitely a very big moment for me
17:00At the time it was like the biggest show on television
17:03It was the coolest thing
17:04It's cool to see the same Riker
17:07Just a bigger scaled version of it all
17:10Everything about it
17:11A super production for a super talent
17:15Rotting Riker on Dancing with the Stars has been amazing
17:19I like go to the show and I watch it
17:22And then I get home and I watch it
17:25And I rewind it and I watch it again
17:27And I watch it again
17:28I'm just so proud of him
17:29When you see people succeed
17:31And they've worked so hard at something
17:33And they finally get rewarded for it

26:45She literally looked like
26:47A little magical elf
26:48She's my oldest of five daughters
26:51But she thought she should be
26:53The only daughter
26:54Rimmer was a little bossy
26:57Growing up
26:58I have a lot of memories
26:59Of her wanting to put on these performances
27:01When we were little
27:02And telling me and Scout what to do
27:05I think I've always wanted to be
27:07On the stage in some form or another
27:08The kids went everywhere with us
27:13You go through my resume
27:14And pretty much they were there
27:17We were just constantly moving around
27:19We probably weren't in the same place
27:22For, you know, longer than two months at a time
27:25When you're traveling so much
27:26And you're not in school all the time
27:28My sisters were my friends
27:29We kind of realized
27:31How much we love each other
27:33And how much we need each other
27:34When their father and I decided to divorce
27:41It probably had the biggest impact on her
27:44Media attention is tough when you're a kid
27:46It was definitely weird
27:47To have that be such a public knowledge
27:51A couple times things would happen to my family
27:53Or whatever drama it was
27:54I couldn't leave my house for a week
27:55As I got older and people started, you know, commenting on how I looked
27:59That's when it really started to affect me
28:01It became more cruel things that were being said
28:07And so I saw people just rip her to shreds
28:12There really wasn't anything I could do to stop it
28:15I mean, the
28:16Her self-esteem was nothing
28:24I could only just keep loving her and loving her
28:30Until she could love herself
28:31When she said, I think I want to do Dancing with the Stars
28:37My whole insides, I have to be honest, were screaming
28:41No
28:42But one of the most beautiful things that I've witnessed
28:46Is watching her passion become greater than her fear
28:50And what I saw that no one else brought was a fierce competitor
28:53You are in it to win it, girl
28:55Dancing with the Stars
28:57Has somehow unlocked her confidence
29:01I've seen Rumor grow more since she's been on Dancing with the Stars
29:05Than I have maybe in the past, like, four years
29:09To see somebody push the envelope the way she is
29:12It's thrilling
29:13It's really, really special that the world is falling in love with her
