00:00Good afternoon and welcome to the iconic forest factory here in Colford in the south west of
00:10England. As one of the biggest energy brands in the UK this has been a complex and large-scale
00:15change for our factory. From a carbonated soft drinks perspective we produce about three and a
00:19half thousand bottles every minute of LucasAid Energy so as you can imagine this has been a
00:24huge challenge for our team. LucasAid Energy bottles now feature a half sleeve that covers
00:28just over 50 percent of the bottle height compared to previous full length sleeves so this results in
00:35a 60 percent reduction in the total sleeve weight and removing 960 tons of plastic per year. The
00:42changes due to the design of the equipment also reduce water consumption to the equivalent of an
00:48Olympic-sized swimming pool every 290 days. While reducing the drink sleeve size may sound very simple
00:54it has required a full redesign of the bottle to showcase the iconic LucasAid arc symbol and a
00:59complete change in the componentry of our production lines installing six brand new high technology
01:05sleeving machines. The team have dedicated thousands of hours to plan and then successfully implement
01:10the changes on our lines and I'm so proud of their incredible commitment to this project.
01:15It's been an amazing step in helping us meet our sustainability goals as a factory and as a business.
