In the prior video Dry Places, I mentioned feeling like life had been sucked out of me, and as if I couldn’t even connect to my emotions in a healthy way, let alone really pray effectively. Dry seasons happen, and we can utilize those seasons rather than being bogged down by them.
In my struggle with praying through the dry season, I asked the Lord for wisdom with my current challenge- emotional exhaustion. In Drained: The Trap of Emotional Exhaustion, through prayer and a little research, I present how it happens, and ideas on how to come out of it without becoming more exhausted. Today, we are looking at what emotional exhaustion is, the symptoms of it, and how to come out of the damaging rut that it is. If after watching, you identify with what I have shared and would like to go along on this journey of recovery from emotional exhaustion, please share your comments or write to me at contact@matrixofjustice.org

00:00Welcome to Marvel and Mysteries. My name is Tracy. Thanks so much for joining me today.
00:14If you didn't already watch Dry Places, I'm going to ask you to back up and watch that first
00:20because this episode ties back into that one. And also I wanted to encourage you to
00:28subscribe at matrixofjustice.org. There you will get both the blog and the video content. If you're
00:37happy here on YouTube, then that is fine too. But I did want to let you know that there are other
00:42options and some other resources that are on the website for you. So last time I was talking about
00:49dry places and what it feels like when you feel that you're just in burnout, like you are at the
00:56bottom of wherever a bomb went off and what the Lord is doing and what you can kind of what to
01:02expect as you're going through that kind of a spot or a season and that it is not wasted. So this is
01:09going to partner with that because I wanted to talk about being completely drained and the trap
01:17of emotional exhaustion because it is another place that we can find ourselves in and it really dovetails
01:26into being in a dry place or in a dry season. So what in the world is emotional exhaustion? What is this
01:37drainage thing? So emotional exhaustion to me is the abysmal fog that you are left within your mind when you
01:46feel like you have been just depleted of all of your energy and you notice that you're experiencing
01:53that kind of fatigue when you feel like your life could be summed up in single syllable words like blah
02:01and meh. There's nothing more. You don't have any oomph. You feel just completely dry and kind of dead
02:09on the inside. So this is what we're looking at today. And the way that God has designed us as
02:16three-part beings, he's designed us in such a way that there should be this continual flow of life
02:22that is going through us. And so when we don't have that, we know that there is some kind of a
02:30disconnect from him. It affects our body, soul, our spirit, but for you doers out there and especially
02:38for the former codependents, I just want to take a moment to encourage you and say, don't allow any
02:46of this today to put a demand on you like it is another task that you have to do, that this is
02:53anything that isn't any kind of checklist whatsoever. As I'm going through things and sharing from what I
03:00saw in prayer and from researching, please only take what hits your spirit that you think might be able
03:07to help you as well. We're supposed to be connected to the Lord at all times and have that river of
03:14living water continually flowing through us. And sometimes the way that life comes at us, it feels
03:20like that river isn't flowing anymore. So we're going to talk a bit about that today. It's always
03:26flowing, but we can end up feeling like we're cut off. So if you feel like a desert, like it's still in
03:33that dry place, then then this is for you and it's going to help. So emotional exhaustion, how in the world
03:40did we even get in this spot? And you might be asking yourself that and I say we because I'm so there. I'm so
03:46there. So how in the world does it even happen? And it isn't something that happens overnight. It is a slow
03:54progression. And we are so similar to these devices called phones that we carry around. Because when
04:03your phone runs out of storage space, it just nothing runs well. You can't even download new
04:11software because it's just boom, it's out of space. And everything is working fine with it until it is
04:18not. And then you know what it's like the panic of Oh, no, what do I delete? What do I get rid of?
04:25What can I upload somewhere else? And so this is how we are as well as human beings. If we are
04:32completely at capacity in our lives, there is no way we are going to be able to actually take in
04:39anything new. So you could study anything you wanted to study all you want to and you're not exactly
04:46going to receive any of it because there simply isn't room. And you're not going to be able to
04:52just like the software situation with your iPhone, you're not going to be able to get any uploads
04:56either or downloads for you personally because of that storage issue. And a friend of mine said this,
05:04I want to read this to you because I'm like, Oh my gosh, if that's not the truth. She said many times
05:09our hands are so full of things we don't want to let go of that we can't receive from God what he
05:17truly wants to give. Anybody else guilty of this? I know that I am sometimes. So that was that was
05:26number one. It's a slow progression. It just kind of it happens overnight. It's it's a buildup, right? So
05:32we all we all can identify with that. And another factor to consider with how in the world did you get
05:39here is if there are persistent demands on your life, especially when it's prolonged and very
05:46emotional. So I tend to think of people that are suffering from illnesses, like extended illnesses,
05:54caregivers for those that are suffering, those that are going through a process of grieving and grief,
06:01because that can last a very long time, any kind of situation where it is very emotional and very
06:08taxing in particular on your soul. And it's not something that has let up in quite a long time,
06:16that can be another reason why you feel so drained overall, those persistent demands, they don't just
06:24drain your body that also is going to take a hit on your soul and also try to really crush your spirit.
06:33So with all of these pull the pulling that's constantly going on, again, we are three part beings,
06:38that is what you're you're going to find. And then lastly, and these are not all the factors,
06:44this is just what I was seeing in prayer and just some some research I was doing. A third factor
06:50is not addressing root causes. And you may have extended stressors that might be happening at work
06:59might happen at home, at school, just different aspects of your life where whatever this thing is,
07:06it is faithful to meet you every day and to try to eat your proverbial lunch. So what is the actual
07:14root cause that happens? And is there anything that you can do about it? And sometimes there isn't
07:20anything you can do about it, because maybe it's a co worker. And so it's not like you can just stop
07:26that altogether, unless you change jobs or something like that, or address the situation with them,
07:33which of course, when you are emotionally drained, the idea of actually trying to address
07:39and conflict and confrontation and all of that, you don't have any real energy left to give. So
07:46that is just going to create a situation sometimes to exert more. So you want to look at what are the
07:53things in your life that are really stealing from you. And it might be social media. I mean,
07:58it could be doing anything that could be sort of an addictive behavior that is pulling time,
08:05pulling your energy away from other things. And in some cases, it might be certain relationships
08:10that are just too taxing, that for a season, you may need to address how in the world to kind of pull
08:17back from those sorts of situations. So these were just three factors that would over time, create a
08:26situation where you feel emotionally drained. Those are some of your signposts along the way to know
08:35that you are stuck in that rut of emotional exhaustion. And that can lead to some very
08:42miserable symptoms. And you might as well just call it the list of misery. So if you're experiencing
08:50any of these, this might be exactly where you are at. This just happens to be where I am. If you are
08:58having headaches, persistent headaches, we all know that stress and stress related headaches, you're going to
09:05have that. That's something that we can expect. But something else that we need to take a look at
09:11are our responses, because we are responsible for our relationships and how we communicate with
09:17others. It's out of our heart that flows the issues of life. It's not people's stuff toward us. It's the
09:24other way around. It's what comes out of our heart toward them. So when your responses and reactions
09:31start to become more anger or fear based, this is part of the issue with that exhaustion. Because the
09:40underlying baseline of a lot of this is dread, anxiety, you can also have irritability, almost that
09:49impatience with others. And all of that starts to come to the surface. And we really only have two modes
09:56that we were designed by God to have. And I mean, it's really it's like, you're either operating from
10:03love, or you're operating out of fear. Here is the trap of emotional exhaustion. And I want to read to
10:11you a quote from a friend of mine who's a doctor. She said that we often abandon the process of digging
10:18deeper and discovering a new aspect of the Lord in a difficult situation, because we either can't see it,
10:25don't believe it's possible, or we want a quick fix. That's always the truth. I know when my phone
10:33runs out of storage, I want a quick fix. And there just really isn't one unless you just start wiping
10:38stuff out. But of course, we don't want to do that with our lives. We want to be a little bit more
10:42careful about that. But it can become a total trap if we're in that spot, because then we just don't
10:49move, we don't do anything. And it keeps us with a mindset of discouragement. And then when you
10:55really want to change, and you know, you need to, the idea of actually going through with it and
11:03making the changes needed to affect you positively, sounds so draining to you, you can't even come up
11:11with the gumption to do it because making the change requires too much energy. I know that this
11:18is something I've run into multiple times, I'm sure many of you have too. So how in the world are we
11:23supposed to get out of this extremely dangerous rut? And I want to read you another quote from my
11:29doctor friend, because it was just so good. And I thought, Oh, yeah, we're all guilty of this.
11:34She said, the vast majority of patients I've seen don't want change, they just want their problems to
11:40go away. And they want you to do it for them. So we have a whole society of people with clogged garbage
11:47disposals that now cause breakdown, and they want you to fix it in one visit, preferably for free.
11:57That's true. That is true. So let's not get to that point. Let's decide now to unclog our garbage
12:04disposals, and not just continue on hitting the button and running some water and hoping for the best,
12:11shall we? Recovery is possible. But first, we need to make some changes even in our own thinking. And we
12:18have to choose to choose ourselves and the Lord. And the reason I say both is because he lives in you,
12:26you live in him, and you need him to do this. We all need him to do this. So you have to choose you,
12:33you have to choose the Lord, and talking to him and putting him first to work through this together,
12:39if you're going to do it successfully and in a healthy manner. And also, we need to remember
12:45Jesus's life and how he handled this. He was ministering all day, and then he would withdraw
12:52from everyone so that he could refuel himself, go be with the Lord, go talk to his father, go get what
12:59he needed for the next day. So even though Jesus has very deep emotions, and he cared very deeply for
13:06his disciples and their transformation and the people around him and the mission that he was on
13:11and all of that, he was still able to maintain hope and maintain his strategy and go connect with the
13:18father. So it's really important for us to do the same thing. That's our model. He is our model.
13:24So we're going to address this together with three part beings. And I'm doing this too. I need to because
13:31I'm stuck, at least I feel stuck, and I need to come out of this. So you guys, if you want to join
13:36me, please feel free. And again, another reminder for the doers, and the former codependents, and
13:43like, please do not feel any burdens, like you have to do this. If there's anything that annoys me,
13:50sometimes it's like, step this, step that step. I'm like, I'm not trying to do that. I was very much
13:55trying to go, what do I need to do that isn't going to take and exhaust all the energy that I do have
14:02right now in order to move forward. So that is my heart in this. So we're going to start first with
14:09the body. The body is your temple. You are the temple of the most high God, and you need to attend
14:15to your temple. And first Corinthians 619 says, do you not know that your bodies are temples of the
14:22Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own. We have to remember
14:30that. So most of us, I would say, probably aren't really all that great at taking care of ourselves.
14:37We probably are able to take care of others a lot easier. And it's really scriptural. You love God
14:44with all your heart, your mind, your strength, and everything. And then you love your neighbor as
14:48yourself and all of that. But some probably love their neighbors, but not themselves at all. So
14:55this is a matter of retraining your own brain to actually take good care and love yourself
15:01in the process of all of this. Not putting you before everything else, but sometimes
15:07that you're going to need to make decisions that are healthy for you so you can be more healthy in your
15:14love for others. You need to love yourself. So one of the ways that you can do that, and a lot of this
15:20isn't going to be rocket science or anything, is drinking water. Make sure that you eat and drink well.
15:27Eat good quality foods and those that are going to help out your body's natural chemicals. Like I'm
15:33thinking the ones that would increase your serotonin naturally, like eggs, bananas, chicken broth,
15:40tofu, if you like that, cheese, leafy greens, and make sure you're hydrated. Most of us, I think about
15:4775% of people walk around completely dehydrated and they don't even know it. So make sure that your
15:53body is hydrated. Have some hot tea too. Do those little things. Give yourself a little gift
15:59throughout the course of the day. And one thing that I've been doing that so far I've really been
16:05enjoying. And it's simple and it sounds ridiculous, but hot water with lemon and a little Celtic sea
16:12salt in the morning. Oh my goodness. It's delightful. It's the silliest little thing, but it's wonderful.
16:17It aids in digestion. It also gives you a nice little boost of vitamin C first thing in the morning after
16:24you've had nothing in your belly all night long. So it's a really, it's a really nice thing. And then also
16:29be moving, move, do anything. If you need to get up, if you can get up and dance for a second,
16:35jump up and down, march in place, whatever it is, just get moving. There are so many chemical
16:43reactions and things that happen physically and chemically when we are moving. It is wonderful
16:49if you can do that. It just gets everything circulating the right way and it will really help.
16:54But again, it's small little changes. These are small changes that you can do so that you're not
17:01exhausting yourself trying to get out of the place of exhaustion. Like let's not go back into it.
17:07And also sleeping well. And for some of you, and I know for myself, this is the issue because
17:14you don't sleep well to begin with. So not sleeping well does not allow your body and your mind enough
17:21time at night to rest and really recover and let your body go through all the processes that it does
17:26to bring that recovery. So it's hard to be in a great mental space when you wake up in the morning
17:32or want to pray or something when you feel like you've basically worked all night long when your
17:39head comes off the pillow in the morning. So you may have to change your nighttime routine to really
17:46accommodate this. You may need to pray at night, whatever is to make your nighttime, uh, more
17:53effective, make going to sleep more effective and hopefully staying asleep longer. You need to,
18:00to look at what you can do to make those adjustments, including getting rid of all of the wifi devices
18:06that are in your room. Because of course that all is causing your brain to respond and things to fire.
18:14That should be getting quiet. So that's another way that you can cool things down and help out your
18:21body, help out your temple first. Next, we need to deal with our soul and King David referred to his
18:29soul as his darling. And there's definitely a reason why he said, deliver my soul from the sword,
18:36my darling, my only life from the power of the dog. So we do need to take care of our souls,
18:44but not bow to them because they can get us in trouble if not subjected well to our spirit man.
18:52So just remember that. So one of the ways that we can take care of our soul is to build in time to
18:58take breaks throughout the course of our day. And you can either set something on your cell phone.
19:04That's what I did with set little alarms throughout the day to make sure that I take a moment just to
19:10get up, maybe stretch a little bit, have a mental break. Sometimes if you need to, you can walk outside
19:17and walk into another room, just have yourself a little break. Oftentimes we don't do that enough
19:25and allowing our body and our mind a minute to just, just chill, just have a say law really goes
19:35a long way. It's a nice little reset and it will really help your mind, your will and your emotions
19:41out. If you're having those breaks and you're not just trying to slog through maybe something that's
19:47really difficult, irritable, challenging, whatever. And have a snack, have a treat. Think back to when
19:56you've ever seen a kindergarten class or, or daycare when it is snack time. Everybody's happy with snack
20:06time. So make sure that you have a little snack, bring yourself a little something to work. If you,
20:12if you can, if you can get away with eating a couple of cashews or whatever it is at your desk,
20:16something good, maybe something that's 70% dark chocolate, because that's going to help boost
20:23your, your feelings, especially if you're feeling despair and anxiety and those sorts of things. There's
20:30a lot of magnesium in there. So have at the chocolate, have at the magnesium. And this one kind of goes along
20:37with the, the taking of breaks, which is to change your scenery. Because sometimes if you are in a
20:44particular spot, it could be in your house or it could be at work, just changing your scenery and
20:50walking to another room or going to the cafe, or just another place. Sometimes for some of you,
20:58it just might be escaping to the bathroom. So you can have 30 seconds to yourself, whatever it is,
21:04do it. It will help your soul to just have a moment to, to take in the new scenery,
21:10to have a mental shift. And that will help you also to have a spiritual shift. So remember that
21:18those two kind of go together. And for other people, it might be actually going into like
21:24something like a diner or coffee shop. And I'm sure that some of you really enjoy that kind of that
21:30din that is going on in a diner. You've got people kind of talking, you have the sound of
21:38clinking of the silverware on plates and just those sounds that go along with the restaurant.
21:44And that can be something that actually can soothe your soul as you are there. So don't,
21:51don't avoid public places just because maybe you're having a crummy feeling kind of day. It can actually
21:57help you. And talking through things with someone. Now, this is kind of a no brainer, but because of
22:03social media, a lot of times people take to social media to put their stuff out there. I do not suggest
22:10that ever really there. You've got too many sets of eyes on whatever it is that you've decided to
22:17talk about. And depending on how specific you are, then you're just asking your entire town and
22:24everybody you're connected to, to just go ahead and start talking about what is going on in your
22:29situation. It's one thing if you get on there and you're kind of asking for prayer, but I would just
22:33suggest that you be careful with the level of detail that you're putting out there. Okay. So
22:39I sound like my mother, but you know what? It's, it's a good thing. You don't need the wrong kind of
22:45people talking trash about you because they've read something. You don't need that. You don't need the
22:52extra demons being assigned to you by people who are supposed to be well-meaning. You know, you want
22:59the ones that are going to pray for you, not the ones that are going to gossip and, you know, send some
23:03yuck your way as a result of it. But try to have someone that you can process things with or someone
23:10who's even outside of your situation altogether that isn't affected by the fullness of your, the
23:16context of your life, because then they just have a real clear look into things. And they might not
23:22have all the information, but they might have enough of the clarity to be able to talk to you
23:27about some things or someone who is skilled at praying somebody through things as they go on in their
23:34life. There are a lot of folks that can pray and it's not that prayer is, is ever a bad thing. It's just,
23:41if you have some issues that are going on that you want actual strategic prayer for, it's good to get
23:48that if you can. And watching a funny movie can really, really, really shift things because of
23:56course your focus is going to be off of the things that you could be ruminating on and navel gazing
24:04about. So getting your focus onto something else altogether, especially if it's something
24:10outside of what your normal focus is. If you're, if you're a teacher, you probably shouldn't watch
24:17a movie that has to do with teaching, you know, just try to find some other subject matter.
24:23It's that you're not even, not even going to start thinking about your work day or something because
24:29you're trying to watch a funny movie and trust that God will take care of all of your needs.
24:34Trust that he will. And it's hard to really give things over because you say, yes, you know,
24:42I believe God, I trust God. And you give him maybe issues or questions or whatever it is,
24:49but it's really easy to kind of take those back because this is what you hear is like, well,
24:54you know, I trust the Lord with this, but I got to be the one to do it. And it's like,
24:58there are some things where that partnership works that way, where you still have to keep doing,
25:04keep moving. So keep going in your life. It doesn't mean that you need to stop,
25:10but give those things over to him. A lot of times when we think about it, we really haven't
25:16said, okay, you know, just please take this because I don't know what to do with it. And I will keep
25:22hurting myself if I keep trying to do something with it. So sincerely be like, okay, God, please have
25:30this, have this, you know, see yourself giving it over to him and him taking it from you. And then
25:37don't try to wrestle the Lord to get it back because you'll lose. So just don't do that. But
25:43that is, those are some ways that you can take a look at caring for your soul during that time,
25:50because your mind, your will, and your emotions are very important. And you need to take care of
25:56your darling through these seasons of emotional exhaustion. Lastly, we're going to look at feeding
26:03our spirit. We've looked at our body, our soul, and now it's time for our spirit. And there's
26:10doesn't have to be any particular order. Your spirit really should be first, but whatever. So how do you
26:17take care of your spirit so that you can overcome emotional exhaustion? One of the ways you've known
26:24about it probably for your, the entirety of your walk, but you might not practice it that much.
26:29And that is actually taking communion. Jesus said, I am the bread of life. And let me read to you a few
26:38verses. This is from John chapter six. I'm going to kind of skip around. I am the bread of life. This
26:43is starting, I think in verse 48, your ancestors ate the manna in the wilderness yet they died. Yeah,
26:50they did. But here is the bread that comes down from heaven, which anyone may eat and not die. And
26:59then he goes, he continues down a little further. He said, as the living father sent me, and I live
27:06because of the father. So he who feeds on me will always live. So take communion, take communion. That's
27:17good for your spirit. But that also is going to be great for your soul and for your body. And another
27:24way that you can feed your spirit and attend to your spirit is to pray in tongues. And there's a lot
27:31of different things that praying in tongues will accomplish for you. And one of those is to edify
27:36yourself. First Corinthians 14, four says, anyone who speaks in a tongue edifies themselves. And this idea
27:45of edifying, and this comes from the concept that both individual Christians and the church as a whole
27:53are referred to as buildings or edifices, the temple of God, that sort of thing. So when the Holy Spirit
28:02is dwelling there, then that's part of the temple of the most high God. So praying in tongues takes part
28:11in that in the erection of that building and promotes growth in wisdom and affection, grace and virtue
28:18and all of that. So this is a powerful way to be built into that structure from the inside out. And you're
28:28speaking mysteries over yourself from the Lord. This is first Corinthians 14, skipping ahead to verse 22. For
28:36anyone who speaks in a tongue does not speak to people, but to God. Indeed, no one understands them.
28:45They utter mysteries by the spirit. When you don't know what to do, and I'm skipping ahead to a
28:52completely different verse about when you, you know, we don't, sometimes we don't know what we should be
28:57praying for. That's Romans 8, 26. And the Holy Spirit helps us in our weaknesses, because we don't know
29:04what to pray for. This kind of harkens back here, that you're praying in the spirit, and you're praying
29:12mysteries unto God. So it's whatever he is praying is then coming out of you. So you can be praying
29:21wonderful, perfect prayers from Holy Spirit over yourself, over your situation, and you don't have to
29:28do it. You're not doing it with your human understanding, which Paul writes about, that he would pray with
29:34his understanding and pray in the spirit. He would sing in his understanding, and he would sing in
29:38the spirit. And that's another way, actually, too, is you can sing in the spirit. This is just not,
29:43not about speech. So, and I'll read Romans 8, 26 again, in the same way, the spirit helps us in our
29:51weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the spirit himself intercedes for us through
30:00wordless groans. So definitely pray in the spirit. And listening to the word of God and also doing the
30:09will of God is another way for you to be able to feed your spirit. It kind of goes along with Jesus
30:16saying, I am the bread of life. If you go to Matthew, this is 4, 4, but he answered and said,
30:23it is written, man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of
30:30God. And I know in my life, there have been times when I've been asking the Lord for wisdom or
30:37understanding or to help me grow through a situation. It's not so much just going through it,
30:44but you really do. I know it sounds cheesy. I want to grow through my situation, but you should,
30:48you know, growing up in the Lord is important that it's important that we mature so that we can help
30:54others along and so that we can be more successful and have, and have a great and excellent walk with
31:01him. So listen to what he has to say. Listen to the word of the Lord. Listen to what God says to you
31:11in prayer. You can also, of course, put in a CD or something, and you can actually listen
31:16to, to, to the word of the Lord in that sense, in the logos written sense, but also be listening for
31:23the rhema because one little word from the Lord can completely deal with a situation, can give you
31:33this injection of hope out of nowhere. So whatever it is, eat it, eat it. Cause that's what you're doing
31:40when you, when you read the Bible, you're, you're, you're eating the word, you're eating the word and
31:44then listen for him to speak to you and not in some booming voice or whatnot, but listen for that
31:51still small voice that is inside of you. And now I'm going to jump to John four verse 32.
31:59But he said to them, I have food to eat, basically meaning that which refreshes nourishment of which
32:07you do not know. And this is the woman at the well, Jesus has been talking with her and everybody else
32:14went into town to get food. And they're like, why in the world? How are you not starving? Kind of any,
32:20and he tells them in, in verse 34, my food is to do the will of him who sent me in to finish his work.
32:27So the will of, of God, doing the will of God is also feeds your spirit.
32:33So remember that I'm going to go over these, this list again for feeding your spirit, take communion,
32:40pray in tongues, listen to the Lord, do the will of the will of the Lord. And sometimes when,
32:48when people would say, well, I'm not really sure I know what the will of God is for my life is
32:55definitely engage him in conversation about that. But I know it's difficult when you don't know that
33:01you necessarily heard him, or maybe you don't feel confident that you heard him. Then here's
33:06something that you can absolutely rely on. And at least start this as your process, start this as
33:12your process of, of the will of the Lord, because this is his will for all of us, but at least it
33:17will help you kind of sink your teeth into something right now. First Thessalonians 5, 16 through 18.
33:23Rejoice always. Pray without ceasing. Give thanks in all circumstances for this is the will of God in
33:37Christ Jesus for you. Very important. It's simple. Rejoice always. Pray without ceasing. Give thanks in
33:47all circumstances for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you. And giving thanks in all of
33:53these different circumstances is something else that it's a treasure trove if you so choose to
34:00participate and, and do that. It's amazing what Thanksgiving unlocks. And I know that has been made to
34:08sound so cliche in the church, usually because it is accompanied with giving thanks in all circumstances
34:16and like a $50,000 check shows up or something like that. But it really is more effectual than it
34:23gets made to seem in, in the modern day church. So with all of that being said, in that overview
34:30of what you can do for your body, your soul, and your spirit, we need to realize and have a,
34:38have a repentance and a changing of our mind going forward. And again, I'm going to, I'm going through this
34:45and I'm going to do my best to practice what I preach here. So I will keep, keep you posted on how
34:54things are going and little shifts and changes. I would love for you guys to do that. If you're
35:00going to kind of go through this, no matter if it's at the time of this recording or it's five years from
35:05now or whatever, I would love for you to, to try it and to either let me know in the comments,
35:13how it affected you, or if you'd prefer the privacy of sending an email, that would be wonderful too.
35:19The email is contact at matrixofjustice.org. I would love to hear how any of this impacted you.
35:26So as we're going forward, we need to remember that nobody else can do this for us. There's a
35:33responsibility that we have because it's not like somebody else is going to come along and,
35:38and scoop us up and do everything for us. We have to make these decisions for ourselves. We have to
35:45have the change of mind and heart to move forward. Nobody else can do it for us, right? So we have to
35:52be disciplined to make those necessary changes and, uh, to really stop ourselves before we're over
35:59capacity, before our phone runs out of storage. Uh, we need to be making that change and also being
36:06sure number two, to ask God for help. As we go along, we'll ask for the discipline to, to love
36:13ourselves as well as our neighbors. And of course we love him, but to really have that be refreshed as
36:19well. And have that discipline to care for ourselves, to love our soul, our body, and make
36:26the small changes that we need to, to our lifestyle so that we can, we can have a more effectual recovery
36:34period. And then number three, to remember, and this harkens back to dry places, to remember that God is
36:39not absent from us during these times. He's one spirit with us. And so our focus on feeding our spirit
36:48in the midst of what feels like a famine will dig rivers into our deserts and it will irrigate
36:56those dry places. I hope that this helps you. I'm excited to hear any kind of breakthrough that you
37:03have. I know that my initial breakthrough in all of this has been, it's been very simple things,
37:10just walking a couple of miles in the morning, having the hot water and lemon and all of that,
37:16taking some time to actually just relax in hot water, take the time to actually have, not just
37:24do showers, to actually have a bath and things like that. It's just amazing how the little things
37:29can, can accomplish some really big changes and shifts. And so that was my heart was not to make
37:37anyone more tired by having to put your entire life into upheaval in order to come out of feeling so
37:45drained. So thank you for joining me. I hope that you do join me in working through some of this and
37:52I bless you in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth. And thank you so much for watching and joining in
37:59this with me, especially in all of the vulnerability and transparency that I can with some of you not
38:07even having met you in person. So thank you. Thank you for, thank you for the honor. Thank you for the
38:12joy. And again, the website is matrixofjustice.org. Thank you so much for watching.
