00:00
After that, I realized that now I need to learn acting a little bit.
00:04
Acting is a different thing, reading script is a different thing.
00:08
You know, it's a different thing.
00:12
I started my first start at the theatre.
00:16
At the morning, I got a phone and said,
00:18
You didn't tell me how this happened!
00:21
I went and saw this show and told me how much I liked it.
00:27
And when it comes to the climax,
00:30
I saw it in my eyes,
00:32
I almost shocked how it happened.
00:36
It was very good.
00:38
I came to Mumbai in 2004.
00:41
I thought it would be a lot of money.
00:45
It would be a little bit of experience in the camera.
00:47
I started with music videos.
00:49
I did a lot of ad films.
00:52
After that, I realized that now I need to learn acting.
00:56
Acting is a different thing.
00:58
Script is a different thing.
01:00
You know, it's a different thing.
01:02
It's a different thing.
01:04
So, I then saw some plays,
01:09
which were the Nirmata and Nirdeshak,
01:13
I was very interested in working with them.
01:16
I thought,
01:17
that if I had done some work with them,
01:19
I could learn something.
01:22
So,
01:24
I saw a lot of plays in Mumbai in the first time.
01:29
First time.
01:30
And,
01:31
Thespo is a youth theatre forum,
01:36
where I had my first start in theatre.
01:41
And,
01:42
I remember,
01:43
that year,
01:44
I got the Best Actress Award for that play.
01:47
And, simultaneously,
01:48
I had a Hindi play with Sunil Shanbagh,
01:53
at the Prithvi Theatre Festival.
01:55
So,
01:56
I was the first part of these two plays.
01:59
After that,
02:00
I was made a series for 5-6 years.
02:02
I got the opportunity to work with good people.
02:06
And,
02:07
I got the opportunity to work with Hindi and English.
02:09
And,
02:10
I played both in Hindi and English.
02:11
Prithvi Theatre,
02:12
NCP Experimental.
02:13
And,
02:14
I went to work with many places in India.
02:17
Calcutta,
02:18
Pune,
02:19
Delhi,
02:20
Bareilly,
02:21
a small town,
02:23
a big town,
02:24
Bangalore.
02:25
So,
02:26
this was a training ground,
02:27
which,
02:28
I think,
02:29
today,
02:30
what I can learn,
02:31
is all in theatre.
02:33
All in theatre.
02:35
How did you get the lunchbox?
02:37
Sir,
02:38
actually,
02:39
I was doing some plays,
02:41
when the lunchbox casting was going.
02:43
And,
02:44
Seher Lateef,
02:46
who was the casting director of the film,
02:48
she is no longer amongst us,
02:50
sadly.
02:51
But,
02:52
they showed me some plays to Ritesh Batra.
02:55
Gunit Monga,
02:57
who I was doing a film with Peddlers,
03:00
and I was part of it.
03:02
So,
03:03
they showed me that.
03:04
and somehow,
03:05
you know,
03:06
I feel like,
03:07
that was probably a film,
03:08
that was my part of it.
03:09
And,
03:10
I got it without auditioning for it.
03:13
And,
03:14
I mean,
03:15
it's such a big gift for me,
03:19
that,
03:20
I feel like,
03:21
that,
03:22
that,
03:23
that,
03:24
that,
03:25
that,
03:26
that,
03:27
that,
03:28
how did that happen?
03:29
Yes sir, Cole actually has a series that has released on Geo Hotstar.
03:34
There is a relationship between Raj Gharane's character, Rani Indrani, Rai Singh and Rajwade.
03:45
He has a very strong role, very ups and downs.
03:49
He has a strong relationship between Raj Gharane and his family and circumstances.
03:59
His relationship with his little brother is an almost unhealthy, strange kind of obsessive love.
04:09
He can't do anything wrong for him.
04:13
In that journey, when you look at that character, there is a Rajasthani folk song.
04:20
Because his mother passed away from his childhood, his siblings.
04:25
What happens in that journey?
04:30
When you realize that this big girl is almost a quasi-parent figure.
04:36
For her little girl and her little brother.
04:40
Especially his little brother, his eyes are pretty much.
04:43
So, they listen to him as a Rajasthani folk song.
04:47
This is a show of Ekta Kapoor.
04:50
He has given me the opportunity to work in a very beautiful world.
04:58
The director, Sahir Raza, heard me this folk song.
05:03
And he said, you can sing this song.
05:06
So, I said, I will try it.
05:08
And that effort didn't happen.
05:10
He kept it for the show.
05:12
And it was good.
05:14
In that climax, it was a very haunting scenario and haunting situation.
05:20
And its effect is very strong.
05:24
Because in childhood, the lady was listening to her brother.
05:27
And when she was frustrated, the lady was listening to her brother.
05:30
And when she came to the climax, the lady was listening to her mouth.
05:35
And the scene that I would like to see her.
05:38
So, until she came to the end, it became a haunting story.
05:45
It became a haunting story.
05:46
Where did you get your best compliments from her brother?
05:50
Yes, I will say the best compliments from my mother.
05:54
She finished the show today.
05:56
And in the morning, her phone came to me.
05:59
She said, you didn't tell me how it happened.
06:03
I said, mom, you have to watch the show.
06:05
So, you have to watch the show.
06:07
So, you have to watch the show.
06:08
I will keep you surprised.
06:11
And she said, I can't believe it.
06:14
You can do that.
06:15
And you can do that.
06:16
And you can do that.
06:17
And why did this happen?
06:18
And how did this happen?
06:19
And how did this happen?
06:20
I can't believe it.
06:21
But it was actually not the truth.
06:23
So, for me, this is a very big compliment.
06:26
And in fact, I am going to where I am.
06:28
There is a pulse check and a litmus test.
06:31
It is that I am going to where I am.
06:33
And people have seen this show.
06:35
And they are telling me what I like.
06:38
And they are telling me.
06:39
And they are telling me.
06:40
And they are telling me.
06:41
And they are telling me.
06:42
And in my eyes.
06:44
But in my eyes.
06:45
So, I feel almost shocked.
06:47
How did this happen will happen?
06:49
And so that I feel so good.
06:51
So, Anupam Kheer, Sir.
06:52
It's my pleasure that he wanted me to come here and I would like to share some of my experiences with young and bright students.
07:03
And I felt so good that this experience gave me so much in my early days.
07:10
And I think they were so innocent and hopeful.
07:16
And I felt like I could see their dreams in their eyes and their hearts.
07:21
I felt like they had come to Mumbai, to prove something.
07:25
I understand. I understand.
07:27
I am not aware of any story that I don't know.
07:30
But I know and I can see their eyes.
07:32
I felt like I came to that dream and their eyes in 2004.
07:37
And I felt so good with my heart.
07:39
I was coming for two hours.
07:42
And if I have a stamina and I want it, then I would like to talk to them for 2-3 hours.
07:49
Because I want my experiences and learnings that I have to learn from my difficulties.
07:57
If I can share it with anyone, if I can help with one person or a student,
08:03
then it's a success for me.
08:05
And when I learned acting here, I learned the path of theatre.
08:10
I wish that I also learned from an actor preparer in an institute.
08:16
I felt so good.
08:17
And I learned some of these things early on in my career,
08:21
which I learned later in my career.
08:24
And I learned trial and error in the work environment.
08:27
So I think these kids are very lucky, these students are very lucky.
08:31
That they are so good in the environment.
08:34
And I heard that for a half an hour of play,
08:38
they worked so hard and worked so hard.
08:41
And the set also made themselves.
08:43
Experientially, they give you so much confidence.
08:47
And really, I don't have a chance.
08:50
I feel so happy when I come here.
08:52
I feel so happy when I come here.
08:53
I don't have a chance.
08:54
Because I have to do other things with my time.
08:59
What I have to do in this city, I have to understand what I have to do in life.
09:08
So I like to go to the mountains.
09:10
Hiking, trekking.
09:12
I am just a fawgy girl.
09:14
I am a fawgy environment.
09:16
I am a fawgy.
09:17
And I am an inherent traveler who is a traveler.
09:21
He doesn't give me a chance.
09:25
So I have a lot of happiness in my life.
09:27
And I keep them so happy.
09:29
I know that I am an actor, a public personality.
09:37
And I am an actor who is a responsibility.
09:41
And I am a family.
09:45
You don't have to go anywhere alone, you don't have to go with your own family.
09:52
My father was a man in forces and army.
09:58
He has a very big impact on me in life.
10:02
I've learned my mother's upbringing, my overall value system,
10:09
and I've learned a lot about it.
10:19
Where did you go?
10:22
I went to Kumau.
10:23
I went to Binsar Wildlife Sanctuary.
10:26
I sent my Jannaddin there.
10:28
I went to Jannaddin.
10:32
I went with my parents and family.
10:35
I felt that there is a sense of belonging in the mountains.
10:41
You don't think anything about it.
10:44
You only think about your next steps.
10:46
That's the biggest therapy and rejuvenation for me.
10:52
Next, I'm going to go to your PR statement.
10:56
The network is everywhere.
10:58
It's very big, sir.
11:00
Yes, sir.
11:02
Thank you very much.
11:04
Thank you very much, sir.
