The U.S. Embassy announced on Tuesday that U.S. Navy Admiral Alvin Holsey, Commander of U.S. Southern Command or SOUTHCOM, will travel to Trinidad and Tobago this week.

00:09The U.S. Embassy said that during the Admiral's two-day visit, he will meet with government officials and Chief of Defense Staff Air Vice Marshal Darrell Daniel.
00:17The U.S. Embassy said, quote, these engagements highlight the long-standing military collaboration between our nations and will serve as opportunities to discuss shared challenges that affect the Southern Caribbean, including transnational organized crime and illegal immigration, end quote.
00:35The U.S. Embassy said this marks his second visit to Trinidad and Tobago as South Commander.
00:40The U.S. Embassy said Admiral Holsley will take part in the closing ceremony of the Tradewinds 2025 security training exercise, which has been held in this country over the past two weeks.
