A 36-year-old unemployed man was charged at the Magistrate's Court in Batu Pahat with trafficking more than 20 kilograms of syabu last month. 00:23According to the charge sheet, Muhammad Nur Hazrek was caught trafficking 20.7 kilos of methamphetamine

00:31at a jetty near Lorong-Tiga in Minyakbeku at 7 p.m. on April 21.

00:38The charge was framed under Section 39B, Subsection 1A of the Dangerous Drugs Act, 1952.

00:45If convicted, the accused, who was not represented, faces the death penalty or life imprisonment

00:51with not less than 12 strokes of the cane.

00:54No bail was offered, and the case will be re-mentioned for submission of chemical reports on June 30.
