Jobless man pleads guilty to robbing woman of jewellery in Kulai

An unemployed man has pleaded guilty in the Sessions Court in Johor Baru to an armed robbery charge.
K. Murugan, 45, entered the plea after the charge was read to him before judge Datuk Che Wan Zaidi Che Wan Ibrahim on Wednesday (May 28).

Murugan was charged under Section 397 of the Penal Code, which carries a maximum sentence

of 14 years jail with a possible fine or caning upon conviction.
