A labourer was charged in the Kuala Terengganu Magistrate's Court on Wednesday (Sept 3) with insulting the modesty of a woman entrepreneur and trespassing into a residential premises last week.

Ahmad Farhan Rizal Abdullah, 29, pleaded not guilty to both charges after they were read out to him before magistrate Noor Mazrini Mahmood.

00:00A labourer was charged in the Kuala Terengganu Magistrate's Court on Wednesday with insulting
00:06the modesty of a woman entrepreneur and trespassing into a residential premises last week.
00:12Ahmad Farhan Rizal Abdullah pleaded not guilty to both charges after they were read out to
00:17him before Magistrate Noor Mazrini Mahmood.
00:21Both offences were allegedly committed at a homestay in Manir at 12.30am on August 26.
00:28For insulting modesty, the 29-year-old faces up to five years imprisonment or a fine or
00:34both upon conviction.
00:36For trespassing, he faces up to three years imprisonment and a maximum fine of 5,000 ringgit or both
00:43upon conviction.
00:44The court allowed bail of 6,000 ringgit with one surety for both charges.
00:49At another Magistrate's Court, Ahmad Farhan Rizal was sentenced to six months in prison
00:55after pleading guilty to a charge of self-administration of drugs.
00:59The offence was committed at the Kuala Terengganu Police District Office at about 12.15am on
01:05April 11, 2016.
01:09Magistrate Ifa Nabiha Mohammed Ishaq ordered the accused to serve the jail sentence from
01:13the date of arrest, August 27, and to be placed under the supervision of the National Anti-Drug
01:19Agency for two years.
