00:00I'm very, very, very grateful to Essence for the SC Award first ever, okay?

00:06Sisters is a cast that does a lot of firsts, actually.

00:09You know, we were the first to go back during the pandemic, the first TV show.

00:12A lot of people don't even know that.

00:14A lot of those production guidelines were based on what we were doing.

00:18So it's in alignment with what Black women are, which are trailblazers and leaders,

00:25and they show up for their community.

00:27So I'm very, very honored.

00:28I'm grateful I grew up on this magazine.

00:31So, of course, it's a big deal to me.

00:33It's a big deal to my family.

00:35And to be in a room with all of the women, past, present, and future,

00:39because there's some people in the room that we might not know their name yet,

00:42but they're working their way up towards that.

00:44And I feel like I'm one of those people.

00:45You know what I'm saying?

00:46Like, I know a lot of the women in the room seeing Kyla Pratt, which is my childhood, right?

00:54All the way up to Loretta Devine, which is my past.

00:57And then I feel like, you know, I'm part of the future.

01:02And then you have Ryan Destiny there, who's part of the future.

01:04And so it was just really motivating and inspiring.

01:07I loved it.

01:08I'm so grateful for the fans, y'all.

01:11We would be nothing without the fans.

01:13They are our family, to be quite honest.

01:16And to be given an award that is selected by the public, it is a little bit more special to my heart, you know,

01:23because that means that the people are invested in your story, whether they're invested in us as a group, an ensemble,

01:28or they're invested in us as individuals.

01:30It's also a reflection of the hard work of the crew as well.

01:34It's a reflection of the hard work at BET and all the people that are involved.

01:38So that award is not just for the cast.

01:40It's for every single person involved.

01:42Because without the fans who have us trending every week, okay, still, since 2019, trending every week on Twitter, top 10, is crazy.

01:51It just shows that if you stay focused, you stay disciplined and prayed up, God is going to bless you.
