French police repress Labor Day demonstrations

French trade unions have been mostly separate in the traditional May Day demonstrations on Thursday, while the opposition left-wing parties, although not all of them were united, coincided in calling for state intervention in the steel industry.

00:07where during May 1st demonstrations, the police forces have repressed the demonstrators. Let's

00:16recall, we are doing live images. This is happening at this moment in France, as the

00:25police forces, as we can see, are repressing the May Day mobilizations. Let's recall that

00:34in France, around 250 activities were expected for the day. They were not called for in a

00:43unified manner, but they did have a unified slogan calling for peace, our pensioners, and

00:52our salaries. Also against the extreme right wing, and Trump's shift on global economics

01:03and politics in the world. That was one of the, or some of the main points of the demonstrations

01:11being held in France. Let's recall that all over the world, we are following, through

01:21cities. And in this case, what we are looking at is the action, the repressive action of the

01:30police forces moving into and repressing the demonstrations. We have seen images like this

01:43at other demonstrations in France at different points of the past years. Let's recall again,
