B'DOS PELICANS BEAT WINDWARDS INFERNOS

The Barbados Pelicans clinched a last ball victory over the Windward Islands Infernos.  The Pelicans anchored by a brilliant unbeaten 85 from Shian Brathwaite put 199 for 5 on the board, and saw the Infernos come agonizingly close, before their bowler held their nerve under pressure to seal a dramatic 1 run victory.

00:00Barbados Pelicans were put on a bat by Wynwood Island's Infernos in their CWI Breakout League match on Tuesday night.

00:09And the Pelicans were in early trouble at 33 for 3 with Keyon Gaston taking 2 wickets.

00:17Cheyenne Brathwaite and Kevin Wickham had to come to their team's rescue.

00:24They put on a stand of 99 for the 4th wicket.

00:26But also there's always the risk with the right-hander.

00:32Brathwaite was the top scorer with 85 not out and Wickham made 64.

00:37Avinash Mohabir Singh took 2 wickets in the innings.

00:43Barbados Pelicans would eventually close on a healthy 199 for 5.
