00:00New Zealand came into the second ODI full of confidence after winning the
00:04series opener with an inexperienced side and taking first strike was a sign of
00:08that newfound confidence. But Bangladesh were not about to be
00:14caught by surprise. They struck twice more including the scalp of skipper Tom
00:18Latham at 52 for 3. Nick Kelly was the only batter to show any resistance with
00:23an attritional 83 off 102 balls. Nahid Rana caused the Blackcaps problems with
00:28his pace as he earned a Pfeiffer. Storyful Islam was the next best with two scalps
00:34including the top scorer Kelly. New Zealand's inexperience certainly showed
00:38this time around as a day was kittled out for 198 in 48.4 overs. However the
00:44host run chase started on the back foot. Nathan Smith and Will O'Rourke combined
00:48to leave Bangladesh on 21 for 2 after 4 overs. Tanzin Hassan and Najmoun Hussein
00:54Shanto would restore confidence with a steady stand of 120. And it is a maximum of the
01:00blade of Tanzin Tamim. He goes to his half century and stuff. Both got 50s before Hassan
01:05departed on a top score of 76. This has gone up in the air. We wanted to repeat it. Shanto
01:11retired hurt on an even 50s suffering with severe cramps at 167 for 4. Yes Shanto gets to his half
01:20century.
01:2050 after 14 innings for Nazmoul Hussein Shanto. Bangladesh's test captain struggling with cramps.
01:30But there was no denying Bangladesh as Tawheed Hiridoye with an unbeaten 30 took them home at 199 for 4
01:37winning by six wickets. Terence Clark, TV6 Sport.
01:40Winning runs from the bat of the captain, Medias.
