Alexander wants away form improvements for Bradford City

00:00Now, Bradford City only have one game left of the League 2 season and it is at home.

00:04But despite this, manager Graeme Alexander has called for improvements away from home,

00:09saying that in the future, Bradford cannot continue to rely solely on their home form at Valley Parade.

00:17Yeah, of course. Every game is an opportunity.

00:20I don't want us just to be like a team that can have that sort of quality and that emotional control at home.

00:28I think that was definitely a problem for us when we first came in because of the weight of expectation.

00:35Playing at Valley Parade, the players and the team have made great adjustments in our mindsets to take on that challenge.

00:42But it's sort of reversed away from home and there's things that are out without control that happen.

00:49We've seen that several times, but we can't say that today.

00:52We brought that on ourselves and so we have to look forward to next week's game.

00:57So, there's still opportunities for us to be successful this season and that's the only focus we should have right now.

01:02We have to learn our lessons quickly about what's happened in the last three games.

01:07But certainly, the players that we have available are good enough to win what we need to win.

01:13Alexander, though, is remaining confident ahead of the final day of the League 2 season,

01:17knowing that a win for Bradford would see them promoted back to League 1.

01:21Yeah, well, we always try to do that anyway, but we've passed up an opportunity to somebody else to potentially take today.

01:31We have to be prepared for that, but whichever way results go up, we still have to try and win that game next week.

01:39And we have to, I believe we will.

01:41But we need to get control of this sort of situation away from home and understand the challenge.

01:48And we've tried to do that this week.

01:49We've tried to explain what the challenge is when we go away from home.

01:53But, yeah, we've been let down a little bit today.

01:56But that will be dealt with.

01:59And we just look forward to the next game.
