00:00With Bradford City not having a midweek game in the past few days, manager Graeme Alexander has made clear that he allowed his players an extra day of recovery following their latest loss.
00:11We give the players an extra day to recover after the weekend, so that was already planned. We had a little behind closed doors game yesterday for the lads who haven't played a lot of minutes and a lot of games.
00:24I know it seems weird putting a game in, but it was only three or four of the senior pros that were playing that was mainly academy players, but it was just important for players to pick up some valuable game time.
00:39And then today and yesterday, we've analysed where we've done really well so far and then just a little bit of feedback on where we could improve from last week, really.
00:50But we kept it straight to the point and got out on the pitch.
00:55When you've got this free week, so to speak, do you take stock and look at the season's work so far as a whole, or do you focus just on Saturday's game against Doncaster?
01:05No, the group of games so far, really. I think it's important we try to dissect the individual performance.
01:13And despite that loss against Doncaster and having an extra day for recovery, player Tommy Lee has made clear that Bantam's training has still been very intense.
01:23It's been very good, high intensity. Look back on the game on Saturday, obviously not the result we wanted, but very few clips and we know what we can improve on.
01:32So yeah, it's been a good week so far.
01:34Has it been a nice opportunity to get that time to actually properly look back on a game and maybe spend some time out on the training field and work on things that maybe with a Tuesday night game in the week it doesn't allow you to do?
01:45Yeah, obviously on a Tuesday game it's tough because obviously you've got to just move straight onto another game and every game is important.
01:51So obviously to look back on it a full week and obviously prepare for Saturday, it's nice really without a game, obviously Tuesday night.
01:59The captain, the manager, both said after the defeat on Saturday that they wanted a response from you as a group, not just ahead of Saturday's game, but in training, just seeing that character.
02:10How have you seen that response?
02:11Yeah, 100%. Yeah, that's been sensational in training.
