00:00Bradford City boss Graeme Alexander reflected on Andy Cook's return to the side
00:06as he scored two goals in the EFL Trophy.
00:10Stiff, very happy but very stiff.
00:14I caught him earlier on and asked him how he was feeling physically
00:18and he said, yeah, I just haven't felt like this for a long time,
00:21which is obvious, but I think it's a good feeling
00:23when you know you've worked hard and you're feeling sore the day after a game.
00:28I think that's one of the feelings that I'll probably miss from playing days,
00:32that you know you've put a shift in for your team
00:34and Cook has not had that experience for a while.
00:39But he's as happy as you'd expect to be.
00:42Such a long lay-off and then scored two goals to help us win a game in football
00:46or to win the game.
00:47Yeah, and knowing him, as we all do, that's quite infectious
00:50when it comes from Andy Cook.
00:52How's it been for the group just to have him back in and amongst it?
00:55Has it been a boost?
00:56Yeah, I think, well, the players have had him round for a while now,
01:00you know, in training and everything.
01:02So I think on match days it's good for him,
01:06it's good for the group to see another good player in our mids.
01:10But, you know, we know the quality we have throughout our squad.
01:14And Leeds United's Sean Longstaff paid tribute to his teammates
01:18after they secured two clean sheets in their opening three Premier League matches.
01:23Yeah, it's massive. I think you look at the teams that have came up in previous years
01:29and they've probably gone about it a different way in terms of their style
01:33and they want to implement their style and probably forget about the most important thing,
01:36which is not conceding goals.
01:38Because unless you do that, you'll never have a chance to win a game.
01:41But yeah, we've done that really well so far and it can get even better.
01:44There's no doubt about that.
01:45But I think as a start, I think we've got to be pretty happy.
01:48Everyone gets a bit of a break now.
01:50Will that be timely for a few?
01:51Yeah, I think so.
01:52And to be honest, it lets me get some of the players back as well.
01:55So I think, yeah, like I said, four points before the break is very good.
01:59But also the break comes at a good time.
02:01Obviously, hopefully none of the lads going away get injured and stuff.
02:03Hopefully they come back fully fit.
02:05But I think to get Ethan back, who's a massive part of our team,
02:08and I love watching him play every day.
02:11So to get him back will be, yeah, amazing.
02:13But like I said, a good start.
