MISSING PH DRIVER FOUND MURDERED

Less than 24 hours after going missing, the body of La Romain PH taxi driver Naradh Ragoonanan, was found in Debe.

00:00Less than 24 hours after going missing, the body of Laramane PH driver Nehrad Raghunanan was found in Day Bay.

00:07According to reports, 46-year-old Raghunanan was found dead at around 2 p.m.,

00:12his hands bound with rope and apparent gunshot wounds to his chest and stomach area

00:16along the SS Arine Road near Dumfries Road, Day Bay.

00:21TV6 News understands that Raghunanan left his Laramane home at 9 a.m. on Thursday

00:26in his Nissan Almera to work as a private hire taxi.

00:30On the San Fernando to Penal route, relatives of the man reported to police that at around 6.30 p.m.,

00:37he called home indicating that he was in Penal and would soon be home.

00:40He instructed his family to be on standby to open the front gate for him.

00:45However, Raghunanan never returned home and calls to his phone proved futile,

00:49leading them to report him missing to police.

00:52During a search of the Day Bay area today, members of the Hunter's search and rescue team,

00:57led by Valence Rambarat, stumbled upon the body around 2 p.m.

01:01Investigators say Raghunanan's vehicle was also found this afternoon in the Union Hall San Fernando area.
