The Patriotic Front led by Mickela Panday in 2025 says citizens still don't have proper roads, running water and effective measures to address flooding.

According to her both the government and the Opposition make promises but lack the political will to truly help the people.

00:00We're not promising the moon with no way to get there.
00:03What we're doing is making better use of what we already have.
00:07And by that I mean Trinidad and Tobago currently operates,
00:09I think it is, help me on it, probably 59, 59, 60, 59.7 billion budget.
00:16And we are saying in the patriotic front that we can reallocate just 4.2% of that.
00:22That would be approximately 2.8 billion.
00:26She says her plan for achieving this is through procurement reform,
00:32noting concerns with corruption and waste management.
00:35We have all seen contracts and we know about it that are overpriced, mismanaged, never completed.
00:42We hear about ghost gangs and all kinds of things.
00:45And the people of Trinidad and Tobago themselves are able to see physically what is going on.
00:52She says the procurement system will essentially protect taxpayers and deliver results.
00:58Also speaking on the TV6 Morning Edition was the party's candidate for Port of Spain's South,
01:04Dr. Winsey Adams, who says one needs only to look around at the capital city and environs
01:11to see that the people need more.
01:13We can see the level of neglect and almost not recognising that these are real people on the ground
01:24who need real solutions.
