A '10 Things I Hate About You' musical is headed to Broadway, and the creative team behind the project includes Carly Rae Jepsen and Lena Dunham. The stage adaptation of the 1999 teen romantic comedy will be scored by "Call Me Maybe" singer Jepsen and Ethan Gruska, and it will be based on a book by 'Girls' star Lena Dunham and veteran playwright and librettist Jessica Huang.

00:41The original movie, loosely based on Shakespeare's The Taming of the Shrew play,
00:44was a breakout film for stars Heath Ledger and Julia Stiles. Ledger played Patrick,
00:49the bad boy heartthrob who is paid to pursue the rebellious, hard-headed cat played by Stiles as part of a plot.
00:55I hate it when you're not around, and the fact that you didn't call.
00:59But mostly I hate the way I don't hate you. Not even close. Not even a little bit. Not even at all.
01:06The cast also included Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Allison Janney.
01:10The movie was also adapted as an ABC Family series that aired from 2009 to 2010.
