00:40was trying to rob as a former neighbor and tried to get him to stop what he was doing

00:47here's the story on this from WSAZ TV word spread fast it's kind of a shock about a woodland man

00:57guys a hero I wanted to shake his hand and his unforgettable trip to the bank and I would

01:02have been here yesterday I was gonna come at 11 11 o'clock that's when I was here you missed the

01:09action Michael Armas found himself at the center of it while making a deposit here at the Bank of

01:14the West on Main Street where he knows I'm always joking around that's my new favorite thing and

01:20there wasn't no jokes yesterday how you doing miles this time he was met with looks of concern and

01:25Armas noticed a man inside covering his face he's biceps are all natural I seen that the way he was

01:30talking he was getting irritated he said uh I don't want to hurt anybody Woodland police say that

01:37man had Grim Reaper Grim Reaper smoking a cigarette on his arm when I hurt anybody Woodland police it

01:43might be it might be his uh if you're talking to the news put on some sleeves no this man will never

02:02gun and was robbing the place unbeknownst to Armas but the thing was I seen something else he seemed

02:09to be depressed the way he was talking so I just approached him and I asked him I said what's wrong I

02:14said you don't have a job he said there's nothing in this town for me nothing in this town for me I

02:19just I just want to go to prison Armas says he tried to comfort him and asked if they could step

02:24outside so I took him outside and I gave the man a hug right here at the doors and he started crying

02:31and then I stepped away from him in this swoop here come all the cops no sirens just lights everywhere

02:38rifles out get on the ground video from a viewer shows as police cleared out the bank the ladies were

02:46all worried the one in there still are saying no no not the one in the black shirt Armas is pretty

02:52casual about it all I believe that it was meant for me to be here that day police arrested 43-year-old
