00:55And there's something I miss about going in and grabbing the CD and having it in your

02:52Are your parents still living in Massachusetts?

02:55Oh, no.
02:56My parents are here.
02:57I drag my whole family out here.
02:58My brothers live in my house.
03:00My mom is my full-blown assistant.

03:04My dad just comes in roots for me.
03:05He's like a cheerleader.
03:06My uncle is my landscaper.
03:08And my auntie, who we married, is my chef.

03:13So does your brother really walk your dogs for you if you ask him to?

03:19I stalk your Instagram page.

03:23I have four dogs.
03:24And that was a choice.
03:26But he takes care of two and walks them all for me.
03:31And two live in our house with us.
03:33And soon, I mean, you're going to be on the road pretty soon.
03:36Not even on a road, on a flight pretty much exactly opposite of where you grew up in Sydney, Australia, for Australian Idol next season.
03:44I mean, Kyle from Kyle and Jackie O is going to be one of the judges alongside.
03:48Have you dealt with Kyle yet?
03:51Yes.
03:51And actually, he was lovely.
03:53Everyone was warning me about him.
03:54I get to sit next to him and Amy Shark, a superstar out there.
03:58And he's the funniest thing, man.
04:01He's the funniest guy.
04:02We laugh all day long.
04:03And we write each other little notes.
04:05And I was telling him, I was like, man, I'm really going to miss you.
04:09Like, we did the auditions already, recorded them.
04:11And he's just the loveliest person.
04:13That dude snacks a lot.
04:14I'll tell you what.
04:15He's a big boy.

04:20So how – so, okay, so you're back.
04:22You did all of the auditions there.
04:24Now you're back home.
04:26And then when do you go back and how long will you be there?
04:29And does the whole family go?
04:31Yes.
04:31The entire family is coming, even dad this time.
04:34And I think that the last trip was just very hard because it was the audition.
04:37So we went all over Australia.
04:39My son never went on a flight and then took 13 in one month.

04:45That was a lot.
04:45But the next trip is all of February and March, but we're only in Sydney.
04:49So that's going to be great.
04:50It'll be like vacation.
04:51Yeah.
04:51That'll be really nice for everybody.
04:53So is it anybody's first time in Sydney that's going the second time with you?
04:57Yes, my father, which is sweet because, you know, he's old.
05:02He gets to travel the world.
05:04And hopefully my younger brother will come out and visit you.
05:06But honestly, my friends who I tell and the people I work with, they're like, you know
05:10what?
05:10Screw it.
05:10I'm coming out for vacation.
05:12I'm going to be there.
05:13I'm like, okay.
05:15They're like, do you have any jobs?
05:15It's the end of summer there when you're going to be taping.
05:17So yeah, it's a whole different way.

05:18It's going to be beautiful.
05:19My brother is thinking about going shark diving, the whole thing.
05:22I'm like, wow.
05:24That's awesome.
05:25I mean, growing up, you know, in Massachusetts, you know, on the Cape, relatively quiet neighborhoods
05:30there, obviously.
05:31Did, was this always in the back of your mind?
05:33Like one day I'm going to be kind of taken over the world the way you are?
05:37Nar, never.
05:39I didn't think I would ever like put makeup on my eyebrows.
05:42You know, like this is all, this is all, I feel like one day I'm going to wake up and
05:47be like, no, you know, but it's the best dream and I'm living it and I'm front row and
05:52I'm on the stage and it's just every moment is a pinch me moment and having my family
05:56with me makes it 10 times better because we're like, could you imagine?

06:02But what is your, what is your favorite pinch me moment that you've had thus far?
06:09I mean, like amazing, iconic things that like my, my son's first beach, because I don't
06:15like the beach and I've never taken him.

06:18You grew up on the beach.
06:19You grew up on an Island, like a tiny.
06:21That's why I don't like it.
06:23There's so many sand, sand gets everywhere.
06:28Ew.
06:29But I bought him his first beach ever is in Australia on the gold coast.
06:34Like stuff like that.
06:35It's just like that.
06:36Not a lot of kids can say that's their first beach.
06:38And I did step in dog poop barefoot.
06:41Oh no.
06:42That is so gross.

06:44Megan, the, the, the reason we all love you so much is because that is your pinch me moment
06:50is like, you've always stayed super humble and family oriented, obviously.
06:55And I think that that, I mean, that's a huge positive.
06:58That's why people love you.
06:59That's why you have such a huge fan base because you've always stayed the same.

07:07Because people, you know, tend to push you one way.
07:10I mean, you could be super cocky.
07:14Um, I think my brothers and my family, they just keep me too real.

07:18Like my brother is like, maybe you should put some makeup on before we go outside.
07:22You know, like they're, they're, they're very supportive and, but very real.
07:28I don't have a lot of yes people around me, which is a great thing.

08:05I did mostly in my new home that I'm in now in the basement.
08:08And I would have my boy, like, cause I wanted to be close to my son and the rule was like
08:13at 6 PM I'm wrapped and I'm going to give him a bath and bedtime and we would have baby
08:18breaks all day long and see the kid.
08:20Um, but it was, it was hard.
08:21I was like trapped in that dungeon, but it was a great, beautiful dungeon.
