00:01it is spooky season and our cup of joy this morning is about just that oh i want to tell
00:09you guys about a high school senior at coatesville high school in southeastern pennsylvania familiar
00:17his name is joe venezuel and um he has turned his basement into a haunted attraction his basement
00:27yeah and he's been doing this for the past several years so he and his dad i guess he got
00:33the idea to
00:34kind of create his own horror escape in the basement um and so he and his dad literally have
00:42been talking to prop masters all over the world and they buy props from all over the world and now
00:49it's not just the basement but they have a barn on their property that this haunted attraction goes
00:54into the barn they hire actors and when i say they i mean it's really joe doing all of this
01:02right 900 square foot barn that he turns into a haunted place a haunted barn every year and here's
01:11the thing he sells tickets for people to come through this really awesome professional haunted
01:17attraction in his basement in coatsville and all the proceeds go to this organization called spirit of
01:24children um which is amazing and spirit of children helps to donate to causes to children such as um
01:32nemoor's children's hospital wow last year he raised five thousand dollars the organization matched
01:39for a ten thousand dollar donation and it all went to nemoor's children's hospital yeah wow joe must be
01:45pretty pretty respected in his community prior to this right to to convince all the neighbors hey
01:52come into my basement come into my creepy basement right i know for this haunted attraction come to
01:58my basement shannon great point it blows my mind too like what parent is like sure babe sure you could
02:04change uh an entire room of our house into something scary right very good point and then and then invite
02:11strangers in to see yeah and then the parents who let their kids go yeah well no jenny and billy

02:22support of the charitable campaign yes but you you seem to almost get chills is this not something you
02:28would have done are you absolutely not i'm petrified you think i want my house to be i i wouldn't

02:39for a second because donnie like you count yourself as a bit of a ladies man and one trick to
02:45get a
02:45lady to hold on to you is that during this time of year bring them to some sort of haunted
02:50attraction
02:51ladies right like i don't grab the arm the bicep and you're ah and you get to be the man

02:55the trick because i'm a treat he's not the man he's not the man going through a haunted attraction
03:01he needs someone who's going to protect him actually actually actually shannon i i think
03:07we need to take it back to when we took a trip to universal during hard nights and donnie did

03:14five women tugging on his t-shirt while we were walking through one of the haunted houses i was so
03:19scared because i had five girls on me who are petrified screaming so everyone is what is coming
03:24after me all the bad guys right and then you're getting scared at the bad guys and the women screaming
03:29behind you screaming so i'm so it but good that i was with women because my screams
03:35weren't as loud as theirs they just blended in all together good point so i didn't even realize that
03:40was happening because i was in front sprinting you were sprinting now yeah we know it's you andy
