00:10All right, we've got Allie on the phone today, and we are honoring her husband.
00:15Now, Allie, first of all, give us David's rank in the Air Force.
00:20Yes, sir. My late husband was a retired lieutenant colonel in the United States Air Force.
00:26Now, I know that in 2019, he went home to be with the Lord, so this is a big honor for us to not only thank him for his service, but also honor his life.
00:35Tell me a little bit about his service in the Air Force.
00:38Oh, goodness. He was in many different countries, lives probably, I think, over a dozen different duty stations,
00:46and we actually met here at his final duty station here at MacDillard CENTCOM, but was in Germany and, like I said, throughout the U.S., Hawaii.
00:59And a big highlight was really when I got to go with him, he briefed at NATO.
01:06I'm like, wait a minute, my husband, my telly-goopy husband, you know, and briefed NATO in Belgium,
01:13and I got to go over with him for that and went to the Pentagon many times and just a stellar, stellar career
01:21and a beautiful person, a beautiful man, and a man that just truly loved, loved, loved our country.
01:29You said he's kind of silly and goofy. What was his hobbies? What was he like as a husband?
01:34Well, you just didn't know a lot about Dave. He was more of an introvert, and it worked.
01:40You know, he had to be very, you know, making orders all the time and doing this and doing that, and at home, you know,
01:48he would always call me the big boss, you know, and his big joke was when he retired from the Air Force,
01:55and he told, like, all the big brass, like, all of his friends. He was so proud of it.
02:00He's like, oh, I just can't wait. He goes, I'm going to go and work for the big boss, knowing, you know, that was me.
02:05And he goes, for a dollar an hour. I mean, just silly stuff like that.
02:10It was just really precious, his commitment to family, his commitment to the business, commitment to all of that.
02:17Yeah, he just loved his Corvette, was his baby. Oh, yeah. And then, of course, our dog, Zay.
02:24He just was a super attentive, loving husband, father, stepfather, and certainly to our dog, Zay.
02:32David sounds like he just has an amazing servant's heart, which is great.
02:37And it sounds like, you know, he has left a mark on the world, not only with his service to our country,
02:42but just his service at home, like you said, as a father, as a stepfather.
02:47I mean, it's just pretty remarkable to hear you talk about him, and I thank you for sharing all these things about David with us,
02:54because I know it's hard probably to talk about him a little bit,
02:56but I just hope you know what comes across to us as a real treat to be able to hear about an amazing man like this.

03:09You know, he's not here physically. He's definitely here in spirit, and I know that he knows that.
