00:00It really did go by quickly.
00:02You know, I look up and I'm like, wow, it's a year already.
00:05My father, no matter where he would go, he would just bring people to tears just being, you know, in his presence.
00:10So I wasn't really surprised by the outpouring that there was when he passed away.
00:15But it's appreciated that people care so much.
00:18My father really loved his children.
00:21And I just remember all of my sisters and my brothers come in town.
00:25And he would love to just get us all together, pile us all up in the car, go to the local diner.
00:30You know, he'd be stuck there for like three or four hours because he'd be signing autographs and doing magic tricks and things like that.
00:36But he just loves people.
00:37So, you know, I just remember things like that.
00:38And, of course, when I first started boxing, I reflect on the conversations that I had with him when he wasn't too happy about my decision to start boxing.
00:46And didn't really even feel that women should be fighting in the first place.
00:49And then I remember, again, having another conversation with him where he actually had changed his mind.
00:53And he said, women can fight.
00:55And you've shown me that.
00:56So I changed his mind about that, which was really powerful to me, just in the way that he looked at me and the way he looked at women.
01:01So I think about those conversations that he had.
01:04I cherish him.
01:05When I look at my father, I just see someone who really stayed true to himself and lived his life to the fullest as far as doing what he was here on this earth to do.
01:14He believed in himself.
01:15And that's how it all started.
01:17That's what really stands out to me about my father.
01:19And I just wish that everybody could find that thing in them.
01:21You know, you don't have to be Muhammad Ali, but just not being afraid to tap into the greatness inside of you.
