Régis Le Bris on “tough” draw for Sunderland at Norwich

00:00Sunderland head coach Regis Lebris has reflected on a tough game away at Norwich in which the

00:06Black Cats picked up a goalist draw that secured their place in the play-offs.

00:10Tough first half, I think. We found it well because we expected a strong team in possession

00:18with many threats. I think we did well without pressure. It was probably the main problem

00:27during the first 30 minutes and with the ball we had some good spells but we were sometimes

00:33sloppy and we didn't retain possession. So the first half was tough, I think, but we fixed

00:40some problems during the half time. I think the four subs helped during the second half

00:46as well and we had a second good half. Yeah, it's important for them because they can get

00:53new experiences and nothing is better than the competitive game and so it was the case

01:00today. It shows that you have to improve many elements in your game but you need experiences

01:04to assess the level and to find these new experiences.

01:11And finally, Middlesbrough head coach Michael Carrick believes that his side deserved more

01:16from their meeting with Leeds United at the Riverside Stadium in the Championship on Tuesday

01:20evening as they were beaten 1-0 by the Whites in a close encounter.

01:26Yeah, I thought we definitely deserved something from the game overall and I thought the performance

01:32was good, you know, we put them on a lot of pressure moments around the box, just couldn't

01:36quite find that final finish or that final pass at times and it was a bad start from us

01:43to go a goal down so early and so simply really and give ourselves a bit of an uphill task but

01:48I thought we responded great in general and through the game and kept pushing and created so much

01:54pressure and really seeing them be under that much pressure in a game for so long.

02:00So that's a real kind of positive for us to take but the boys are so disappointed that

02:05we didn't get anything from the game so that's something that we can use as kind of the ingredients

02:11and that fuel to kick us on for the end of the season.
