People of London: Are neighbourhoods safe?

We ask Londoners if they feel safe in neighbourhoods in London.

00:00My hair's on the back of my neck. I've normally got a bit of a radar for that.

00:03Obviously, there's a couple of locals that drink around here.

00:06It could get a bit leery, so you sort of tend to steer away from them.

00:10But, yeah, apart from that, this area is great.

00:12You know, it's like a little village for a village.

00:14You still get a couple of hello, good mornings on your way to and from wherever you're going, which is good.

00:20In this area, I think, because I've lived here for quite, I've lived here for 15 years,

00:23like, I feel pretty safe.

00:24But I feel like that's mainly because, like, we're pretty close-knit neighbourhood.

00:29Like, I know the shopkeepers.

00:31Everyone kind of knows me.

00:33And, like, you know, we kind of look out for each other.

00:36In other areas, I don't know.

00:38Like, coming back on the Tube late at night from London, like, I've had not a lot,

00:44but, like, a few terrible experiences.

00:46Like, there's a lot of people that get drunk.

00:47And, you know, it's not a pretty safe environment for, I guess, even as a woman,

00:53coming back late at night on the Tube.

00:56Like, it's not, or even on the bus, to be honest with you.

00:59Like, there's a lot of people that way.

01:00So, that's the bar off.

01:01So, you know, if that's just one of those things,

01:02like, a lot of people that have up in the туств confused.

01:04Like, they've no meantime.

01:05Because I know a lot of people that speak about some people.

01:06It's not really good about that.

01:07But, like,

01:12they're not really bad.
