00:00Gabungan Rakyat Sabah Deputy Secretary General Armizan Muhammad Ali has hit out at several

00:07Sabah UMNO and Warisan leaders over allegations linking him to the Sabah mining scandal, challenging

00:13them to disclose their sources.

00:16He accused Warisan Supreme Council Member Kelvin Chong and Sabah UMNO Elections Director

00:22Jeffrey Noor Muhammad of amplifying claims made in an anonymous viral message circulating

00:27on fake social media accounts.

00:30He also urged Chong, Jeffrey, and former PAPAR MP Ahmad Hassan of Warisan, whom he accused

00:36of spreading the claims, to identify the supposed investigative journalist and disclose the

00:41identity of Datuk Zek, along with any proof they had.

00:45Armizan challenged them to make a clear and unambiguous statement accusing him of corruption

00:51instead of hiding behind vague insinuations.

00:54He has also instructed his lawyers to issue letters to them seeking clarification and

00:59demanding accountability for the alleged slander.

01:02On Wednesday, Jeffrey dared Armizan to come clean amid the circulation of two photographs

01:07allegedly showing a meeting between the minister and representatives from an Indonesian mining

01:12firm in 2023.

01:15In response, Armizan said the photographs perform his participation in a meeting between

01:19the management of Sabah Mineral Management Center Berhad and representatives from Indonesian

01:24public-listed firm PT Bayan Resources on May 16, 2023.

01:30He said it was absurd that his participation in the meeting, at the time in his capacity

01:35as a board member of SMM along with the firm's entire management team, was being used as

01:40fodder for slander.

01:42In a Facebook post on March 24, Libaran Warisan's Information and Multimedia Bureau quoted the

01:47investigative journalist as saying that Armizan's alleged involvement in the Sabah mining scandal

01:53was revealed by Dato' Zed.

01:55The post also claimed that a journalist had confirmed with an SMM officer that Armizan

02:00had told the officer to exclude his name from the meeting minutes as his attendance was

02:05intended to be off the record.
