00:20be throughout the Red Sox season, and he talked a little bit about his expectation for Garrett

00:28Crochet this season.

00:29We're about to see, but physically he is.

00:30This guy's a monster.

00:31He's big and strong, and the way he goes about his business in the training room, in the

00:37weight room, is ace-like, right?

00:39But now, obviously, we've got to go out there every five days and prove it.

00:43We're going to let him go.

00:46The expectation is 30-plus starts, and help us win as many games as possible.

00:51And I truly believe physically he's different than others.

00:55You'll see him.

00:56He's ready to go, and we have to be smart about it, too.

00:58The way the season starts, there's a lot of games early on, then the schedule actually

01:03benefits us from June, July, and August, so we'll take care of him, and if we do that,

01:08he's going to take care of us.

01:10They're going to let him go.

01:11So 30 starts.

01:12Does the price go up as long as, I mean, if it's all of those 30 starts and you get great

01:19starts out of them, does the price go up by the end of this season?

01:24Hell yeah, it goes up.

01:26That's why I'm kind of with Bossman on this.

01:29Do your best to sign him now, because the price is going to go through the roof.

01:34Let's say you can get him, and I don't know the number, I know people are like, well,

01:38he's not going to do 27 million what Yamamoto makes, they're like the same age.

01:42Let's say you get him for 30 million.

01:44Max Freed, I think, is getting 36 million a year.

01:48I don't know what Garrett Cole's number is, I think it's like 33, but I think Freed's

01:53the highest paid pitcher.

01:54So if he has 30 starts and a great season, don't you think that number that he's going

02:00to want is north of $35, $36 million a year, and you're going to have to pay him 10 years

02:06similar to what you paid Garrett Cole, because he's only 25 years old, so he's going to be

02:11looking for a 10-year deal north of, what, $350 million?

02:15Yeah.

02:16Well, you said $400 million, Curtis, right?

02:18Yes.
