People of Glasgow on why analogue mediums still have a place in the modern digital world

Despite technology advancements film photography and LPs are still increasingly popular. We ask the people of Glasgow why these analogue mediums are so appealing.

00:00It's always going to seem cool, more retro, there's more buttons, the sounds are better.

00:05Like everything being digital online, it's easy, it makes life easier, but people are

00:10always going to love the old technology. I mean I have a typewriter, have I ever used

00:14it? No.

00:15Well it's memories for people isn't it, you know. I mean if you go to a wedding or things

00:20like that, you like to photograph and then music feeds your soul, feeds your soul.

00:29I don't want to travel around a lot, I don't have very good signal, so having something

00:34that you can actually, not needing to have signal if you're totally out the way, it's

00:38very useful to have something that you've actually got.

00:41I mean there's definitely some quality difference, I'm not much of a photographer so I don't

00:45know the specifics about it. I guess a film camera would have more detail in it I guess,

00:52especially phones, they put filters on them now a lot of the time and it's slightly fake,

00:56especially with the moon, if you take a picture of the moon, it's not really the moon.
